We had a baby shower for our daughter-in-law here. The space was beautiful so old New Orleans. The service was second to none. Bradley was so attentive, and personable. The food was outstanding! Delicious!The space was perfect for over 30 people. No one was crowded. We had spinach salad, fresh fruit, crab cakes, pecan crusted fish, chicken alfredo, and sweet potato soufflé.. So good! Carol was so easy to deal with. The price for all this was so reasonable. In these times, I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Red Maple! We have such great memories of this event.
Excellent service by Katelyn and amazing food. I highly recommend the Redfish Pontchartrain. We also had the Cajun Boudin egg rolls for appetizer. Portions were large and unfortunately no room for dessert. I was eyeing the Bread pudding with butter rum sauce. Amazing dining experience!
Food tasted great, but the service was lacking to say the least. Our soups/salads, appetizers and entres were all brought out to our table at the same time. The waitress was asked for tabasco, and she proceeded to tell me where it was located as of I was to go get it. Once our meals were complete, and we piled the dishes up for the waitress to take .... we ordered coffee which we never received.Of course being that we were a party of 9, the gratuity was already added to the bill. Maybe this is why the waitress had 0 interest in serving our table.Horrible Easter Brunch......to say the least.
We enjoyed the delicious food at the Easter brunch here. Veal OssoBuco, redfish pontchartrain, and the seafood salad were all yummy and generous portions as entrees. Unfortunately I could not give 5 stars,due to the very slow service. We constantly waited for our waitress and excuses were given frequently about how busy they were. However, not all tables were filled and other wait staff seemed more attentive. I will return though because the food was worth the wait.
My aunt, my mom, and I came here as part of a seminar, so we did not buy our meal. My aunt had Chicken Marsala, which was delicious. My mom had the Catfish, also tasty though Jake's Seafood has tastier catfish. I had the filet mignon, which was not bad except a choice between medium and well-done is not a choice at all. They only had iced tea to drink, and they only open for dinner. Their creme brulee is not as tasty as Zydeco's. We may come back and we may not. It depends on our finances in the future.
My husband and I found this hidden gem of a restaurant near my brother's place in Gretna. The food was superb, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and elegant with wonderful service from all staff. An additional dining courtyard is perfect for a beautiful evening.
Mediocre (adjective) - 'of only moderate or low quality, ordinary, so-so, not very good'.22nd Feb 2022 - We were very hungry and eager to sit down for a full dinner. However, after eating a cup of seafood gumbo ($12) and a cup of 'soup de jour' ($10) we were so underwhelmed that we decided not to order any more food, paid our bill and left, still hungry. The soup de jour was bland and forgettable; the gumbo was pathetic - I can make much better gumbo than that with a $1.54 packet of gumbo mix (from Louisiana Fish Fry Products) and a few frozen shrimp. On top of that, the waitress was more interested in chatting with her friends (seated at another table) than attending to us.Overall, for the image The Red Maple tries to present, and the prices they charge, our experience there was less than mediocre, very disappointing and a waste of money and time.
I LOVED this establishment. There’s nothing I would complain about. The food, scenery, and service was perfect! Definitely coming back. 10/10 is also recommend the crab & corn soup.
We visited as a large group and they accommodated us with a special menu! The restaurant and courtyard were decorated beautifully and the food was yummy. We will be back!
My husband and I reserved seating at The Red Maple to celebrate my 70th birthday and were not disappointed with our choice! From the pleasant greeting by the hostess, the attentive waiter,Bradley, to the very delicious food served to the pleasantries of other dinners we would definitely return as well as recommend this restaurant to others. We were 100% satisfied!
