As of July 9th 2022 Shoney's is open and running don't let anybody tell you different . They close at 2:00 in the evening . Just like I remember it. But I guess I just expected them to have more options to eat. But the food that was there was good.
The 3 stars is because the place was not clean: floors & table. The server was awesome 5 star for her. Omelet was seasoned and cooked to my taste 5 star
Absolutely the worst breakfast EVER. The restaurant was empty and we were seated at a dirty table. The eggs were microwaved and NOTHING was warm. Another customer had to ask to put her food in the microwave. The service was just as awful. Two trips in one. First & last.
Disappointing, limited selection of the food, and the food that they’ve got taste not so good, just wasting of money
Our waitress Charlene was Awesome. Place was decently clean. We ate off the menu and not the buffet because we are slight germophobes. Thank GodButttttt let me tell you what I witnessed with the lady filling the buffet. She was being showed by the manager on how to make a side salad for a to go order. Manager told lady after the salad was fixed to get a small condiment cup and lid and put dressing in it. Manager walks off and lady over fills the cup and it pours down her hand onto the lid. She then put the lid to her mouth and licks it. Then puts the Freakin lid on the cup. I almost lost what food I had ate. And yes I did tell Manager because hey WHY NOT. You wouldn't want someone licking your food right? But I'm not sure what happened. Was only told she would talk to her.Sorry to the person that ordered a side salad from here on 3-14-22 around 1:15 pm. If I'd known who you were I would have warned you.
This is my go to place. There are varieties for the meat lovers and vegetarian diets. Good tasting

First of all this place is legendary and we need to protect it at all costs!! Secondly, the people who work here really are awesome. All of them seemed to be in a good mood and maintained a good vibe. Thirdly, the food was so good! We had the breakfast buffet and the sirloin with onions were so dang good I blinked twice in disbelief lol. And lastly, the prices are so low you'll have enough to tip your server double!
Will not be going back!! At 8am it was pretty dead yet the bathroom was disgusting. The food was way over cooked. When trying to get a piece of bacon with the tongs, it would fall apart and you couldn't get any on the plate. The sausage was rubbery and tasteless. At that point I understood why they were dead on a Saturday morning. They staff there was great and that's the reason for the one star I gave them.
We went today just as they were changing over from breakfast to lunch. We grabbed some of what was left from breakfast before it was all taken away. Ate our first plates, no problem. Then I went back for the lunch options as we had seen they were setting up while we were eating. When I asked the buffet attendant about spoons for the sides, she snapped at me that "it's not ready yet, we're trying to get the meats out." So, I took the salad I had already fixed to my table to eat while they finished preparing the buffet. When I went back up, I noticed they had added MOLDY carrot sticks to the salad options! I informed the attendant they were moldy. She didn't seem too happy with me, but removed them and took them to the back. On my dessert trip, low and behold, she had only removed the worst of the moldy carrots from the top and re-served them! I then noticed another customer preparing a salad and made sure to warn her in case she hadn't noticed. How disgusting! Why would you put your customers at risk like that just to save a buck?!?! I'm giving them one star only because the other staff were courteous to us. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning! Hope we don't get sick from eating here!
