Our server was great at letting us know the specials for the evening. We were seated right away with service away. Friendly staff and the steak was cooked perfect.

Char Oysters were cold and not cooked. No butter on them-not bubbly. One party member ordered trout and veggies. She was allergic to potatoes and told the waitress such. She received the trout and a heaping of french fries. (no veggies). The mashed potatoes ordered by another in the party were cold. One couple ordered a large salad. A small salad was presented. However, after the waitress brought out the wrong size, we asked for another small and received that. One member asked for red wine and received white wine. When we arrived at 630P, we were told to go ahead and order because the kitchen would be closing early. Not a good culinary experience.

It’s always very pleasant there. The food is good and so is the service.

Legacy is consistently good food. Many visits with Delmonico and Steak Diane, as well as scampi and the simple grilled salmon. Always good, decent price, usually easy to get in on short notice.

The service was lacking. Our table and two others sent food back. The waiter did not listen when ordering so food came back incorrectly. Ordered gumbo never did get ordered. The waiter was very nonchalant

Father’s Day lunch. Food was good for those who ate. I have strict dietary requirements due to celiac disease and don’t feel that this restaurant has a full understanding of gluten cross contamination. I chose to just have wine and they made sure not to bring any bread to our table. There was no silverware and we had to request it when my dad’s and husband’s dishes came out. This had happened once before the pandemic so it’s something they need to work on. The place had a wait and we were seated within a few minutes because we had reservations. The noise level was as expected on a busy day. My family enjoyed their food very much. I remember that it was always good back when I would regularly eat at restaurants before my diagnosis. Since New Orleans is such a “foodie” destination, I’m lucky to have tried just about everything before going gluten free. I now spend those dining dollars out of state. Just spent a week in Orange Beach and was amazed at the care and quality of the restaurants that offered safe gluten free food! It would be easy for a “steak and chop” restaurant to accommodate, but I did not feel very confident in the staff (pandemic has caused issues that directly impact this important aspect) which is crucial to us GF people. I’m still grateful to have this restaurant in our Gretna neighborhood. Thanks!

Great Fathers Day restaurant. Will come back again. Food was great & service was quick.

This place has gone way down hill. It used to be a bright spot on the West Bank. The last two times I’ve been were horrible. Tonight I ordered chicken and waffles, they were out. Then I ordered trout, they were out. Then the steak sandwich it came out on a sloppy grease filled mushy bun because they were out of French bread. It was visually disgusting. I did have truffle fry for starter also had way too much oil. Good luck.

Meal was delicious. Rich flavored gumbo. Rainbow trout cooked perfectly & not dry. Filet also cooked perfectly & not dry. Service was good. Only recommendation was cleanliness- dining room floor was slippery & table was sticky.

Very great experience. A server was in training and she did a phenomenal job. Only concern was that it was extremely cold in there.
