Nice tasty meal. Service okay. Coffee good till found part of old Splenda packet in bottom of cup. Check dishwasher.
We have been coming to Common Grounds for years! Every time we are in New Orleans for a cruise we stop for brunch! The Crab Cake Benedict is my favorite! Their coffee is a chicory blend and it is very good!
1st time there and I will go back. Really good food.
Mother and I got the combination Seafood plater with shrimp and catfish. I like my catfish fried hard. That fish was fallen apart. Just horrible. Our side salad was warm. The lettuce was limp and lifeless. I'm a salad lover so I was highly disappointed. Also our waitress seemed distracted. The whole time I was wishing I went home and ate my Amy's tv dinner....
I ordered the blue burger and mango tea for takeout. Disgusting and terrible service. My tea had a straw in it before I got there, I asked if the cup was already used and was rudely told “no”. I asked for my tea to be re-made and the owner got mad with me and just gave me a refund.Her attitude was proof enough that the cup was already used. I’ve never experienced such rude service from here, the employees are usually nice. But not this day. The bread was soggy and the blue cheese tasted foul. Never eating here again ?.

So my daughter ordered take out Mind you I have never had a bad experience here(one of my favorite places actually) but I went and talked to the owner because I have known her not personally but in a professional manner However their are always two sides to the story not satisfied with what she told me I called her back once we got home because my husband and I pride ourself on repect especially from my children Long story short my daughter was the customer and she should have not been treated and told how much product you wasted because she asked for her drink to be remade. Needless to say I wanted to keep it classy and I refuse to get into a heated argument about a cup and some tea. My family and I now have to find another favorite place because we will never go back there Who touches a straw that the customer drinks out of to stir the tea? Unsanitary and unsatisfactory service If the tables were turned you would have felt the same way and If I were an owner I woruld have fixed the situation With a smile and oh you lied on my child and said she came And demanded you make her another drink thats why I called you to confirm that she was not disrespectful once we got home because it wasn't sitting right with me but I can tell you treated her baD bc she was almost and tears and when I came in their your demeanor was subpar Ughhh this has me sooo angry You lost a faithful customer..... After all of this I still didn't yell get disrespectful or treat you bad take lessons
This place always feels like home. The food, the ambiance, great comotion around is only plus. And its great you can have your deliscious breakfast outside.
I can say after years of really liking the food but not the service!! We are Done! To walk in and not be acknowledged and then the server play the race card. Remember our money spends every where! And the owner didn't say a word.
Our most favorable place to sit outside, have a scroumptious breakfast and just enjoy mornings together
