The food and the customer service is fantastic, and the fried ribs OMG

When they say there is a lot of food, they mean A LOT OF FOOD!This place had wonderful portions, I ordered a catfish plate, the breading was light and crunchy, and it came with 2 "small" sides and one large side. Sweet yams, black eyed pease and Mac n Cheese. I was in foodie heaven. I can definitely recommend them, you get what you pay for and then some.

They need a Eastbank location . ASAP Dat fried stuffed bell pepper ball is da truth along with the Mac n cheese , candied green beans and crawfish hushpuppies #TheyDontMiss . Smh folks leaving 1-3 ? ratings #HowSwayA lie don't care who tell it I guess ? 4/22/22 date of visit for this review

food was delicious. it was my first time trying fried ribs and they were amazing! tender, juicy, and flavorful without being salty. the coco greens were sooo good!the staff were also very friendly.there's a few seats there, so I sat and ate while my food was good and hot.I'll be back!

First timer here. I’ve been stalking the IG page for the last few months and was finally able to get here! I went very close to opening and it was perfect timing. In and out. Just let me say, no disrespect to the mac n cheese, but good gracious, that CABBAGE IS FIRE…The cornbread was also really good. I ordered the fish, with a side of chicken and I personally liked the chicken best. Overall, the food is delicious. The staff was friendly. I’ll have to squeeze it in my work schedule, but I’ll be returning!

2nd best food I’ve ever had ANYWHERE! Definitely worth the trip/wait/price. This soul food made me feel like a winner.

You'll have to take an extended lunch for this place. Lord, that line. It's cafeteria style but each person in front of you is ordering like 10 custom personalized plates (cuz they give you options here and everyone is ordering for their cousins, grandma, coworkers, friends, neighbors, side piece...) and they either don't have a job or just don't care about their job or they got the okay from their boss cuz there is no way you're getting back in an hour. If you don't want to wait, you can order delivery from the lady they have a deal with, it's like add an extra 14.99 delivery fee and then there is a 1.50 platform fee and then the tip. So is it worth it?????? OMG, yes. I cannot name everything that's good here since I haven't tried it all.. but the fried chicken, the fried pork chop, the bbq chicken, the bread pudding, the cornbread. It does not disappoint.

I loved that I ate for free because it was my birthday. I got turkey necks and they were ok....the rice was undercooked but the corn was good. I'll try again and maybe have something better next time

Cool atmosphere and good food. Will definitely go back.

They don't serve food here, they serve meals. Food and service are consistently excellent. There can be a line at times due to the place being discovered by more and more people, but the wait is worth it.The menu changes Mon - Fri and you can also purchase wonderful treats up front from Anointed Confections. Her brownies, ooey gooies, banana pudding and cakes are always delicious.Fun fact; The owner promotes other small businesses along the walls of the restaurant. You'll find everything from sauces to soaps and various services from vendors.
