Great experience. Absolutely delicious, ordered pico and chips, enchiladas verde, tacos(carne & lenqua) & a chili relleno. All were very good especially the enchiladas. Cheers
First time was on a Taco Tuesday. Got the $10 special which is 4 tacos, your choice meat, with chips and salsa. Also had the Agua Fresca Pina. Was great overall and hit the spot.
Food was amazing. Very authentic like i have experienced in mexico. Athmosphere authentic and service very friendly and accomodating.
We, my Aunt Karen and I, frequent this restaurant because the food is exceptional. We first got the home-made chips and Guacamole and then Tostados- everything is so very good all made from scratch. Then we went and got the beef and vegetable soup which made me slip back to momma's homemade soup memories- it was divine! So today we tried something new to my diet -the Cow tong and cow cheek which was also really good too! This place is incredible! WE LOVE IT! Everything is made like from momma's kitchen, and everything is great!
For us being only one of the only ones in there service was slow.
I’m conflicted. The food is good but it feels a bit expensive when you know your Mexican/Latin food &prices. I can’t seem to justify spending again ~$20 for just 4 tacos and a drink. At the same time, it doesn’t seem like there’re many alternatives in the area so I wonder if that’s why the prices are what it is... idk, I personally won’t be going as often as I otherwise would for said reasons but this is a good place if you want legit food & can’t cook it yourself lol
Some of the best Mexican food I ever ate so delicious and authentic
Y'all probably already know this but Don Beto 2 makes the absolute best tacos in the Baton Rouge area. Grab your dinner and head next door to Gilla for creative and delicious local beers.
Since discovering this wonderful place over two years ago my wife and I eat here virtually EVERY week. In fact, the motto in our house is "If it's Thursday, it's Don Beto". We love everything we have ever tried at this restaurant, which is every taco and enchilada they offer as well as the beans, which are BY FAR the best I have ever had and the rice. The wait staff are super friendly, in particular Tanya, Erica, and Jackie, with Erica typically knowing my order and my name with only the mere the sound of my voice over the phone. The proprietors are also super cool and friendly, especially Bethany, "the white lady", who does not seem to mind her moniker in the least. Wait times for call in orders are always super quick and the food simply never disappoints. The bottled Mexican cokes offered remind this 50+ year old of his youth, when cokes were made with real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. Treat yourself to a bottle on your next visit. This is authentic Mexican food at its best, made with pride and passion, that I never tire of. Tomorrow is Thursday, by the way, and I will be there come hell or high water.
Not just another Tex-Mex restaurant. It's an authenticly good meal for the family.
