We were looking forward to this dining experience knowing that they were still in a shakedown mode. Decor is pleasing except the noise level is a problem. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. The beet salad was attractive and tasty as was the Caesar salad. The gumbo was disappointing; the roux was dark and smooth but lacked flavor. It had a teaspoon of crabmeat, teaspoon of potato salad and two quarter size pieces of smoked sausage. Overall it was pleasant to look at but lacked flavor. The ribeye came medium rare, as requested moderately tender, but far too fatty for a good ribeye, the seasoning used ruined the flavor of the steak with its sweetness. The shoestring fries are a big loser, find another way to do potatoes. Simplicity is sometimes better, salt and pepper on a good steak. Unless we missed it no sides were offered. We will try again after they have a chance to really settle in.
Got there early for a cocktail in the lobby of hotel. Beautiful atmosphere but small dining room. Food was delicious. Mostly seafood. My rainbow trout was very nicely seasoned. My hubby enjoyed the duck. Appetizers and desserts are small servings compared to most other restaurants. Cream brûlée good and chocolate mousse was good. Kyle and Isabelle (?) gave us wonderful service! We will be back. Like to try brunch next time.
We didn't have high expectations for this restaurant because one of our friend told us it was not good, but they were wrong! It was so good I cannot wait to come back! We almost lick the plate if no one was looking ?
Everyone, Austin Jordan McKenzie Destin, were so nice. The décor was stunning while making you feel you’re in France. The halibut was fantastic. This is a fantastic place for a change of pace from the local steak restaurants. We will definitely be back!
My only complaint are the customers who go on a beautiful dinning room and dress like they are going to a crawfish boil.
The duck was good, the desserts were tiny and silly for $10.This is where oxlot 9 used to be.
