Very good food. Nice sized oysters on half shell. And the reds were fantastic. Staff was more than attentive and I would recommend if your looking for a family atmosphere with good eating. Everyone in my party left with full bellies.

Food and service were great. Marie Clare did an excellent job as our server. Only negative all night was that they don’t allow to-go cups for alcoholic beverages. Will definitely be back.

I'm a truck driver running these roads with my lovely wife. We run all over this great nation together. We got loaded in North East North Carolina yesterday morning. I asked her to find something good near our drops in Hammond. She found this place. An absolute dream for the oyster lover. We ordered a half dozen raw and a sampler platter. She ordered yellow fin tuna, and it was amazing!! I ordered the redfish, blackened! Out of this world!! As fate would have it, the first half dozen, raw wasn't enough. Much like book ends, we had them as an appetizer and again as dessert!!!! ? We get oysters in Florida where we're from, but these were obviously hand-picked monsters!!! We tried all four of the different ways they prepared them on the sampler and we withheld our private judgement to ourselves until the other one had tried them all. We both agreed on the creole oysters, but you have to understand, they were all delicious in their own way. Besides, who cares? We're eating OYSTERS!!!! Tyler S. was our server and she could not have been any kinder or attentive to our needs. She didn't 'hover', she came at the right time to check on us. Servers, I've noticed, have a knack for it, or they don't. Tyler surely does!! The atmosphere was great. I was on duty and had to drive, but there was a full liquor bar and we loved the decor. I only wish we had something remotely close to this in Southeast Florida. We could spend our retirement savings here!!If you're ever in Southeast Louisiana and love seafood, you could make a lot of mistakes with your choice of restaurant. This wouldn't be one of them. I have a house in Covington LA and every time I need a great meal and fun I would go to the city New Orleans 45 mins away until I discovered Half Shell Oyster House Family friends and folks there is a Gem in Covington I didn’t want to drive to the city so I decided to check this place out. I know it’s been here about 3 years and Loved a place in Biloxi either same name never realizing it was the same company. Let me tell you I Sat at the bar and met Taylor she was awesome very attentive and the old fashioned were off the chain Next day I came back I met Bailey she was beautiful in and out and so attentive Day 3 I met Josh and then I realized that this crew was not only curious but we’ll trained the old fashioned were all on point and the food was amazing. I have been here more than 2 weeks every day in a row and the hospitality and service is the best I have had. I have taken my son my wife and friends to this place. I recently told them that this is my new church so they shouldn’t be surprised when they see me I am home let me not forget about my new BFF Riley he is an awesome wait staff but it all started with Taylor If you are in the New Orleans area take a trip across the lake and check out Half Shell Oyster House you won’t regret it Ozzie
Mr. Riley!!!! Hands down!!! One of best servers there!! The food was amazing but with him as our server made the experience that much better!!! If you are looking for a nice place to dine with a New Orleans/south Louisiana menu, Half Shell is the place!!!
Went to Lunch for my Birthday and the food and drinks were on point. Everything tasted above and beyond. The chargrilled oysters were mouth watering as well as the Orleans Red Fish entree! Can’t say enough about Josh and Riley services that were impeccable! Bravo. Will be looking forward to dining in again.
