We were going back here to try and give the restaurant another chance. Last time we were there, we were promptly ignored and the portions we received were mere sniffs of food.We tried the restaurant again. After a decent wait (understandable) we were seated where we were once again promptly ignored for 15 whole minutes. A waitress, out of the goodness of her heart, found our table and asked if we were being helped. We told her no then she started to help us.Unfortunately I ordered the spicy grilled catfish and ended up with a fried catfish. The catfish was ok but not what I was going for. It was the sort of lackluster experience with lackluster food that will keep us from returning. So long and thanks for all the (wrong) fish.
Cracker Barrel is a well known family restaurant that is known for its country store and decorations. Our waitresses was training a new young lady and seemed very overwhelmed. The food was average. I had a grill chicken dinner it was good. My parents enjoyed their meal but complained about the service. The setting was fun to look at. We enjoyed all the old stuff they had on their walls. I would go at least one time.
Called ahead for seating availability and was told there was no wait and walked in within 5 minutes and was immediately seated and no one else came to table for 15 minutes to wait on my party. My family observed couple seated after we were and they were serviced almost immediately. This is very poor service for Cracker Barrel as we tend to visit different locations when traveling due to consistency of meals at each location are good. I'm not sure if we will give this location another visit.
Our server was very tentative and kind even though he was tired from working a double shift. The food though, I had a steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak was fine, the potatoes were not as tasty as usual and the broccoli was not properly cooked, (was like a vegetable tray raw). I don't know if there was a new cook or he was just tired also. I hadn't been to cracker barrel in a few years and it might be the same again. The service was awesome, prices fair and food was rated, " C-".I am not saying you won't have a good experience so don't pass it up if you're in the mood because it wasn't awful.
Phenomenal waitress, very helpful with menu selections for little boys with big appetites. And very personable, something I just don't see much anymore.
Oxtraordinary it was beautiful food drink souvenir sweer in one place. Good environment
Fried chicken is delicious!! Love it
Very nice restaurant. Awesome service. Food took a little long to get to our table but we figured they are understaffed. Food was hot just as ordered. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. The country store is a bonus.
Been here a lot of times, but our last visit was the worse. We would've understood it more if it was a weekend or they are busy, but we went there at brunch on a Monday and there's barely any people eating. So we went in they brought us right into our table. We were waiting... and waiting... 10 minutes later another person came, a server took care of him and everything while we are still waiting for a server to approach our table.. so I stood up went to the front and asked for our server, he said he will let her know (more than 10minutes later).. the guy that arrived after us already have his drinks, while we are still waiting to order.. she finally came so we ordered right away.. The guy that came after us got his food, finished eating and ordered a take out while our food I don't know why but it took forever.. once our server brought our food to us which felt like forever, she never came back to check on us or even refill our drinks or ask if we need anything else.. we were done eating, she never came back.. waited for a few minutes to ask for a check, but we can't find her anywhere.. so I went to the front again to ask for our check, our server did not even bring it to us.. it was the worst service we ever experienced. We should not be walking around looking for our server at any restaurant especially when there's barely any people dining in.. the group of people next to us were lucky to be served right away and get checked on a lot of times. While there we are not being tend to.. We've never had this problem before, I don't know if she just doesn't like us or she's having a bad day or what not..
After FINALLY being acknowledged after all the Caucasian patrons were taken care of... I paid for my to go order. I get back to my hotel and find that I had missing food. The corn muffins were burnt to a crisp. The peach cobbler was also burnt.
