I'm ashamed of myself. Been in st tammany for 49 yrs and just tried this place. Best Chinese that I've ever had.

First time trying this place after reading reviews. This is the first time I’ve ever cared to write a review regardless if I didn’t particularly enjoy the food or if it was absolutely delicious. However, after running to the bathroom in the middle of the night multiple times, I knew it was imperative to write this review. I will never ever go to this place again. I ordered the Mongolian beef combo with fried rice and an egg roll. Just can’t believe how many raving reviews I saw on here.
The food was very good service was excellent in pricing was very reasonable portion size was large menu as many options definitely will try again I don't think someone starts at all
This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is so friendly and nice. This is one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever layed eyes on. They are always cleaning and keep this place spotless. The food is amazing and every person I have ever told about this place has absolutely loved it as well. The best Chinese food place in St. Tammany parish.
My go-to order is Tong Cho Chicken; it's so good that I get it almost every time! It's a sweet and spicy delight that satisfies my hunger for hours. ?
We were in Hammond and I were willing to drive to Covington for good Chinese food. Per the reviews online, we chose China City. The drive is worth spending your money on good food.The man answered the phone and not only was super polite, but also got the order correct the first time we told it to him. He listened! It was awesome to be heard.When we arrived, he let me know they were currently cooking the rest of the order and just a couple of minutes later it was ready. He made sure the order was correct and I paid him. The young woman that came to the counter with me was also just as kind.When we got home, everything was perfectly cooked, tasted fantastic and looked as good.We ordered sesame chicken, bourbon chicken and a city sampler. All were very good.
Whenever I want to eat Chinese food there's only one place I go and that is China City excellent food
Nice portions will add, subtract items carrots, onions.. if you ask in advance. Convenient, Go to, quality take out... have used many, many times since 2014... Liz & Al
