One of my favs! While we go to Nickys A LOT there is something so fresh snd delicious about the food at TaMollys that makes me crave the food.Excellent chicken puffy tacos, queso blanca and even their ice tea is good.BUT bring a jacket it's freezing in dining room.
My order wasn’t what I asked for based on their online menu. When I asked if it could be remade the drive thru guy (Mark) told me only if you want to pay for it. So I asked for a refund and he denied my refund and didn’t want to give me the manager number. But I will be contacting that manager in the morning and their corporate location. Great food and restaurant but this particular person was horrible!
This is my first time visiting here. I’m currently eating lunch at 1:15 PM. I ordered the lunch steak fajitas. They were served in less than 5 minutes. The fajita meat tasted okay but was tougher than other places I’ve been. The refried beans are weak in taste and runny. The chips and salsa are a 7 on a scale of 1-10. The waitress was very nice. Overall I was satisfied with the meal but probably will revisit other Mexican restaurants that I like more before considering coming back here.
Great service! Shelby was awesome and knowledgeable!! Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and was great! Guacamole was fresh and delicious!UPDATE: visit number 3. Food was awesome as usual! I wish I had caught the name of the server we had. Small, petite young woman who ran her section like a professional. 14 top table plus the booths on our side and no one waited for anything. Truly awesome!
I won’t be coming back here. It was clean and mostly friendly at first, but the cheese dip tasted funky as well as the salsa. I assume just different preferences. Then the quesadilla I ordered had yellow cheese in it. It was very greasy and did not taste like it was fresh cheese. I was assured that it was freshly cut Monterey Jack cheese (for those that don’t know, that is a white cheese). The chicken tasted rubbery. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. When I asked for something else, that’s when the friendly service disappeared. I felt like I was being investigated. They did give me a new order and did not charge me for the quesadilla without me asking for it. The beef tacos weren’t terrible, but it tasted more like chorizo. It was good enough to eat anyways. As I left, the waitress’ smile returned andwelcomed me back. It did not taste fresh or like authentic Mexican food. It was very disappointing based on my initial impression before receiving food.One other positive: their portion sizesare better than most (again makes me question the freshness of product). So if you do happen to like the food, you seem to get more bang for the buck.
Gluten free foods on Menu so appreciated. Food was really good. Staff was helpful, pleasant qnd efficient. A great experience.
I just moved to the area, and went in for lunch on 10 January 2022. The hostess who seated me was not friendly, and put me in the back room away from everyone. Everyone else was seated at the regular section. It was cold where I was seated. I really don’t know what she thinking.After waiting at least 10-15 minutes the waiter came, and I am assuming it was the hostesses fault. He was very friendly, and brought up immediately moving me. But at that time I was just wanting at least chips and salsa. I went ahead and ordered everything while he was there. I asked for chips and salsa. He did make the experience better, but being seated where I was, the service was inadequate. I never got a refill until he brought my check, so after asking for more tea, he said he would put it in to go cup. Not sure if I will go back.
I’m only giving it two stars because the food was decent. They had one server covering every table who could not speak or understand English at a level where he can accurately insure that the bill is correct. When my party sat down (9 people) the table already seated had incorrect orders. I should’ve known something then but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. We ordered our food and 3 orders were incorrect. I asked for a small margarita and my mom asked for what I had. He brought me a large margarita which means he also charged me for a large margarita. When we got ready to leave our bill didn’t add up to what we actually received. We tried to explain to him that the order was incorrect and he just stood there because he clearly didn’t understand what we were saying. We explained that two of the plates were off the lunch special and should’ve been $1 more since we ordered it for dinner (at least that’s what the menu says). Because he didn’t seem to understand we just said forget it and paid the bill. It’s unfortunate that a lot of places are losing workers right now and my heart goes out to them but somebody needs to be there for quality control. There was no manager or anyone who seemed of seniority. First and last time at this place!
I've always loved TaMolly's their food is wonderful. Always had great service until today. Our server was just rude and snotty. If this is part of the management staff we will be finding a new place to enjoy.
This was my first visit since COVID shut things down. I stopped by to pick up dinner for my family, went in the main entrance and ordered at the checkout counter. The young man taking my order was polite and helpful, making sure my order had exactly what I wanted on it.I got a TaMolly's platter for myself, a tamale dinner for my wife, and a plain cheeseburger for my picky eater.I was directed to drive to the pickup window, located behind the restaurant, and after waiting a few minutes, pulled forward and paid, got my food and left. Very convenient and quick. The young lady chatted with me as I waited, was very friendly and accommodating.Our food was packed securely, bagged, and included plenty of chips and salsa.After a two year hiatus, I was very happy my wife texted me to request tamales! Very tasty, convenient and a good value. We will be back.
