I got the alligator po'boy and some fried pickles and couldn't even finish either of them! You get the portions you pay for that's for sure. And everything tasted really good and the patrons and staff were friendly. A bit pricy for my blood as a regular visit, but not bad for what they serve (seafood in general tends to be a bit expensive). Definitely will be returning!
We had fish plates, and I ordered crawfish to go. I love the atmosphere, and the people are always nice and helpful. Food is always great.
Crawfish was good for a fast food chain. Signs said that they close at 9 pm but we showed up at 8:08 and was told Togo orders only. Wish the door hours and website specified dine in hours if it really is a thing. All in all good was good and place workers were friendly just done with the day.I understand because I too was ready to sit and enjoy a nice dinner. This is my 3rd time here and rating a 3 for all times
Shane’s has been our go to place for Friday catfish. We usually go at least twice a month for the 3 piece catfish with a side of okra, it has always been hot and tender and a joy to eat. Not so today, we ordered our usual and when it hit the table is was at best lukewarm, fish, fries, and hush puppies. The only thing hot in the order was the okra, the fish and fries were tough as tho they were left under a heat lamp from lunch, not what I would expect at 3:30 in the afternoon. Not their usual quality meal, however we will give them another try before we find another go to place for catfish.
Very disappointed in my family meal today. We ordered crawfish and fish baskets. $90 down the drain. Crawfish was awful, cold and soggy. They tasted either re-heated or frozen crawfish. Yuck! The fish in the basket was hard and fries were cold. This will be the last time going to Shane’s.
Amazing flavors. I had the gater dinner and 3 lb of craw fish the flavors are amazing but the fish w were very small. That was a bummer.
Quick-serve (order at the counter, runner brings it out) Cajun and barbeque, super casual, fairly extensive menu, of course heavy on the fried and crawfish. A little pricey for quick serve but less than full-service Cajun and good portion sizes. Really good hush pups, a little kick and moist, don't know why no one outside of Louisiana can make a good hush puppy, usually huge and dry Have to give 5 stars for the super friendly counter staff, the honest and not stuck-up nature of the place, and the easy availability of LA style food in a hurry, important when you're traveling, don't always have time for full waiter service. Entrees average about 16, but the side portions of dishes like gumbo or jambalaya can serve as a light meal and are under 10.
$15.42 for a sausage sandwich with onion rings (no drink). Ordered my onions rings extra crispy - they were soggy. Will not be going back.
I worked here years ago so I can tell you the kitchen is absolutely filthy, the food is overpriced and there are way better options for seafood and bbq in Shreveport. You should try Real BBQ on Pierremont off Line Ave.
Not a fan of all things fried so I wouldn't come here unless maybe I was kidnapped and forced to consume such filth. The owner is a sketchy shady dude with sub-par food! Can’t wait until we see you on the inquisitor again!
