Horrible service and mediocre food.
Made this a point to stop while driving from Alabama to Texas. It was great last year when we came so we planned this out for a stop. We got delayed in driving and checked the website which clearly states that they close at 11:00pm. We arrived at 10:20pm and 11:00pm was posted on their doors. We got out to go in after a long 12 hours drive only to be told they closed their kitchen. We stayed the website and the doors close at 11:00pm. Manager stated oh well we already closed the kitchen. I realize that Facebook shows 10:00. , but you may wanna change it everywhere else.
We come every time we are in town and they are so friendly and welcoming and the food is awesome!!
How can you not be happy in such a bright place. The colors are bright, it isn't like a dungeon inside, the service was good and the food was great. I've been to several Nickys locations a lot over the years but this was my first time on Hwy 80. I will certainly be back.
Good tasting food - but a big rip-off! Over-priced and they should have signs up everywhere saying up-front CASH ONLY or they will charge you 4% instead of sticking it to you in the rear by printing it out on your receipt! I'm staying next door at a hotel and had planned to try all their different dishes all week but not now. And why 4%, credit card companies only charge about half that (2.2%) on average - AGAIN A BIG RIPP-OFF!Reading through the other comments the restaurant is acting like used car salesmen, signs get 2 for 1 but it is a lie, their 2 means the cup is twice as big..... as what? They trick you into ordering a second so they can charge double.
Drinks was excellent! But I felt we was overlooked by the waiters… when other individuals came in after us .. they was seated and order was taken. We was thinking of walking out but stayed because the manager who was operating the front came and got us started with drinks. It’s amazing how this issue is present.
Restaurant decorated nicely for Christmas! Staff very friendly.
Really good food! Fast and friendly service!
Went here yesterday at lunch at 12:30. All of sudden the piña colada sucks and the stingy size is $10 and it’s to icy. Then I got charged extra for another enchilada for a reason. That’s supposed to be on the lunch specials! I only ordered 3 things! Enchiladas lunch, pina colada and small cheese dip. I will not be returning here no more. Bad management
My impression about Mexican restaurants in the south are more authentic but Nickys proved it wrong. The food was very blend compared to other Mexixan restaurants I have been to. It's may be the vegetarian enchilada that I got. I did not have any bad experience though. I stayed across this restaurant so it was very handy to walk down to this place on a great weather. Loved their dessert though. They really have great menu.ProsGreat atmosphereLoved the unique chairs and tablesKids attractionParty hallGreat barGreat spaceConsSlow serviceBlend food
