My hubby and I went here for our 50th anniversary. It had been a couple of years since our last visit. We went around 4pm so no one was in the restaurant. I guess they had turned the air up after lunch crowd because it was hot in there. We ordered steamed dumplings for our appetizer. The pork dumplings were a little chewy and not much flavor. The vegetable dumplings were ok but could have used more filling. I ordered shrimp with vegetables which was just ok. Hubby ordered scallops in garlic sauce, again just ok. This used to be a highly rated and recommended restaurant but now it was just disappointing. Maybe having the restaurant in a run down motel isn't a good idea.

Crispy duck more like what the f—- duck was over cooked . Server didn’t notice this before taking out rhe window like ??? Wouod you eat this . Cause I wouldn’tWe enjoyed the appetizers but the crispy duck was a mess and in peices was a “ half duck “ don’t recommend …

If you go here, try not to let the parking lot or hotel scare you off. The location is horrible. I'm glad that I was armed when I went. The restaurant itself is very nice, the servers were great and the food was wonderful. If Lucky Palace was in a better location it would easily earn 5 stars.

I really hate to leave a bad review because we've been loyal costumers and always loved the food here but the manager, Darlene, was just extremely rude to me and hung up on me. She also mocked me. I was so shocked at the horrible customer service that a manager would give. Especially bc the gentleman that took my order last night offered amazing customer service. I checked my bank account and it showed almost $30 more was taken out of my account than I authorized so I called to find out why. (I left a cash tip) I found out that if you psy by debit card, lucky palace charges you 4% to use your debit card. I've never been informed of that the many times we ordered pick up but at least I understood where $4 of it was coming from so i didn't have issue with that. I still didn't know why the other $25 was held. The manager kept telling me that it's the bank that charges the 4% and its the bank that put a hold on the extra money. It's not my bank that charges the extra amount, it's the system lucky palace uses that charges the 4% so in turn lucky palace charges their customers those fees. Still the manager kept blaming it on the bank putting a hold on all of the extra money. That makes no sense. I asked why my bank would do that and didn't do it anywhere else and she started interrupting me and then when I asked her not to interrupt me, she yelled and hung up on me. It was beyond unprofessional. I called back and the other person explained that 20% is held in case you leave a tip. That was easy to understand when explained correctly. I thanked her for explaining it that way and I could hear Darlene laughing in the background. When a loyal costumer calls about questions they should be treated with a little respect. At the bare minimum they shouldn't be disrespected and laughed at. I will not trust lucky palace with my money again.

Our food was quite good, and I recommend a visit. But one tip - make a reservation. The website does not mention it and I tried calling 3 times on Saturday afternoon (no answer) to inquire/make a reservation and finally just figured --- I guess we just show up. Nope. Without a reservation, the two of us were seated at the bar at 6:30pm. It seemed like a fine idea at first, but it really was not ideal. Another large group seated in the bar was celebrating a birthday and had clearly pre-gamed HARD before arriving. By contrast, the dining room was quiet and would have provided an experience consistent with the $150 we spent on dinner. So, yes - visit. The food is worth it. But get a reservation or opt for take out.

When you pull into this place you are going to think, absolutely no way im going in here. Ots insode of a hotel that is run down amd has weekly rooms cheap. Dont judhe a book by its cover. This was an amazing place to eat. White table cloth restaurant that has been written up in the NYT or something. You can get traditional Chinese dishes that are reasonably priced or go a little more $ and have some amazing food. We got there at 6 and the place filled up.Would highly recommend this place. We heard about it from a local. If you like Chinese food or seafood l, go here. You wont be disappointed.

The food was only so/so this visit. The fried rice was dry, like it was cooked much earlier. The vegetable rolls were great. I ordered garlic shrimp without water chestnuts, but they still made my dish with them... but the waitress got the kitchen to remake the plate. Wine made it better!

My wife and I planned a date here and we were excited and craved it all week. We literally sat at a table for 20 minutes without even being greeted by a server and finally got up and walked out. I've never had to do that at a restaurant in my life. Thanks for ruining our date night.

The egg drop soup way magnificent. Their tea had a fun y taste of most of their sauces minuze the soup had a different taste. Our waiter was good especially having Twelve women and kids and one lone man to wait on.. I wanted some veggies with my order. I couldn't get them ala cart. I wanted duck. So I was steered toward a Duck dish with veggies but the crispy duck I was expectingwas a tually slices of what I thought was some kind of meat with a funny sauce and broccoli on it. Could not eat it. Asked for crispy duck. To go. Didn't get eaten at home because warming it just flattened it. Their cocktails were heavy in liquor to the point of drinking pure liquor and no fruity taste at all. Plus only one huge glass can be ordered. Everyone has their favorite Chinese place. I have 2 but this will not be one. I was so looking forward to a place that has been in the pass something written about in National refuses I know that Covid took a tole on many fine restaurants. I hope this one makes it.

Very nice. Romantic and elegant. Friendly staff, great prices and the food was perfect.Don't pass it up or judge it off the hotel it's in.
