Brought my family of 4 adults. We called and left a message for a reservation. They call back around 3:00pm. We were able to get in at 5pm. We were sat promptly. Our waiter was good. I ordered the pollo Milanese. It was a huge piece with an amazing flavor. I decided to mix my side pasta into it…. So good!!! My daughter did not like her food. It was a pasta with creole mustard that was way overpowering. She removed it from the sauce and mixed it with her Alfredo. One thing we discussed at the table was the decor. We just don’t understand it. The wait staff are dressed formally. There is nice art for sale, white tablecloths, and candles, but there’s this ugly graffiti on the walls. It just does not fit. To each his own….My son said he would not like to come back, but as for me… the Milanese is worth looking at the ugly decor. I do wish the meal came with a small salad.
We have been here many times over the years, and tonight was nothing short of disappointing. After ordering one of the only non gluten entrees on the menu (I know it's Italian, but I have been here many times and was prepared, I knew they had redfish and mahi, lol) I was told I couldn't substitute the side that came with it, spaghetti, but I could add another side at full price. The fact that a $36 piece of fish comes with only a very small side of spaghetti is disappointing anyway, no salad, no vegetables, nothing else. I ordered a side of grilled eggplant, it had decent flavor, but was floating in olive oil. The mahi mahi blueberry cream sauce was actually very good, but I can't imagine the blueberry sauce going well with marinara. The mahi mahi New Orleans (special tonight) was very well presented, but the flavor was sweet, maybe honey, don't recommend it. Our waiter was ok, not very attentive, but not terrible. The host was probably the least personable person in the place, definitely should not be the person every diner interacts with. It's just not what it used to be, sad.

Called in at 7:50 to make sure they were good with us arriving at 8:10. Most restaurants treat you poorly when you show up too close to closing time! The service was very hospitable and the food was excellent! Such a wonderful local spot!

L'Italiano's was and will from here on out be our destination for future Anniversaries. The service was impeccable, the cuisine was so lovely it was difficult to just decide on one item for each course. We had a table reserved in the back right side of the buildings dining area, low light, and very intimate setting as our incredulously mannered and stunningly well dressed waiter Bobby took care of our needs and left us to enjoy our meal without hovering. Add your name to the wall of Lovers next time you drop by this hidden gem in Shreveport and request Bobby as your waiter! You won't be disappointed!!! I recommend the Moscato, Calamari Fritte and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo w/ broccoli. Mwuahhh! ~♡~

Delicious food! Definitely best Italian food in the area! The atmosphere is so unique, and great for any type of outing, casual, fancy, date night, and the server Johnny is fantastic and makes a great drink!!!!
