I was not impressed w the gumbo, it wasn't even hot. But the bartender was nice n attentive n that's why it's not getting a 1. The beer hit the spot though. N that's it. Hubby ate bc he was hungry n the beer was also his favorite not the food. The building itself is nice n the vibe as well. But not the food ugh

Best red beans and rice I have had in the area. Best service too. It’s a great casual modern Louisiana craft house. I would recommend it to anyone. Also great service! Best service AND best food.

Monday 7/11/22Came from Texas and this place was recommended for some good gumbo and they did not disappoint ?? Nice atmosphere, clean place and customer service was great too. Mahalo ????

Great atmosphere! Wait staff was on point. Fresh, fast food. Spicy ? if you’re not used to it.

Visited for the 1st time this week from San Antonio Texas. Found this place on a whim and wasn't sure. However we went and it was 100% worth it. You are greeted with a smile and hello from the staff. The food was amazing.....I had the dish in the photo....As seen on TV was the kicker for me to try the pasta..Several meats: Chicken, Shrimp, Crawfish and Alligator........Thank you to the staff for welcoming us in to your home with such wonderful southern hospitality.

Looking for Cajun food this is the place for you - outstanding service and food - I had the muffuletta poboy while my wife had the blackened shrimp poboy - both of the poboys had plenty of meat. But save room for the bread pudding because it came out nice and warm - only thing missing was a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Our hotel sent us to this restaurant as we asked for some authentic Louisiana-style cooking. We were not disappointed. The restaurant sits in front of an area were there are several restaurants and bars with a large area to visit, sit at picnic tables and listen to a band. The area was teeming with people having a great time. We choose to sit outside on the restuarant's patio and enjoy the fresh air, great beer and wonderful cajun food.

The only reason that I didn’t give this place five stars, is because of the flies. This was the first time that I ever dined here. We entered through the back of the restaurant into a smaller, covered patio style dining area. We were seated immediately on a slammed Thursday night, and the hostess and our server could not have been more helpful, friendly and professional. The staff here is well trained and bursting with southern hospitality. Perfect. I was in the company of my ten-year-old daughter and we split an order of the Game Day Nachos. We couldn’t decide between the two options of pork carnitas or Bourbon Street Chicken. Our kind and patient server kindly recommended that we order both as a topping. Heck yeah!! You can do that?? Yes, you can! Incredible! We were here for the free, all-ages show, right out back of this restaurant in a new, hip, outdoor area called, Hurricane Alley. It’s all part of this row of establishments here in the East Bank District. More often than not, since its recent launching, the shows here are gratis, free99, that is to say, that they don’t cost you nothing. Nothing but your time, but it is time well spent. The band playing on this well attended, sultry spring night, was the reputable and longstanding 90’s local cover band, The Hollow Decks. If you ever see them on the bill here, go. Most def. Go. Remember that. The Hollow Decks. Pairing nicely with our Game Day Nachos for full effect, was the fact that game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals (Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat) was on in our dining room. We could also see and hear clearly from where we were seated at our table, The Hollow Decks on the elevated stage across the way in Hurricane Alley. It was just magnificent! So, if you want to go see a show here but it conflicts with a game, you needn’t worry at all, because if you don’t catch it in the restaurant, Hurricane Alley also has a gigantic screen opposite the stage that will be playing the game, as it was on this wonderful evening out. The only ding, were the flies. I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done to basically control the flies in what is more or less outdoor dining in the back, but it minimally effects the overall experience here. Other than that, spot on! Service, food quality and flavor, prices, family friendly entertainment, cleanliness, this place has it all, and gets a blue ribbon in each category. Bring your family. Watch the game. Catch a free band. It’s a great, safe night for all.

This place is awesome! I drive all the way from Texarkana Texas to enjoy this wonderful place. The staff is extremely helpful, whether your trying to decide on drinks or food, they are there to help with great suggestions. The Cajun Mac and Cheese was spicy and delicious. They have a large variety of craft beer to choose from and almost always have live entertainment. This place is perfect for almost anybody!

Great location. Super friendly staff. Macy was so helpful in selecting drinks & eats. Knew all the specials! She was amazing. Food was so good. Drinks were just right. Will come back again when in area. Very friendly atmosphere. Manager Brian stopped by and introduced himself and thanked us for visiting. Very professional. Draft beer tap system was very impressive!
