During our three-night stay (May 2022) at the Horseshoe this seemed to be the only restaurant that was open every day. Prices were high but you expect that inside a casino hotel. Food was marginal, sometimes bland and not a very good value. Portions were smaller than other area eateries. The pizza was the best thing that we ate here. It costs $15 for a small pepperoni pizza. Breakfast was so-so and over-priced. The BLT and the Club sandwiches were dull and uninteresting with little or no flavor or taste. Servers were really good! Fast, pleasant, and accurate. Seating was quick. Comp dollars are accepted here but $2 comp dollars only equals $1 on the 8ozBurger menu. (see my review on IHOP Boardwalk) (see my review on The Sportsman's Paradise Cafe at Bally's) (see my review on The Horseshoe Hotel)
This is a reasonably priced place to grab something to eat after gambling. Food was good. Breakfast and dinner were both good.
Food was ok. I’ve came here due to convince. Had the chicken fried chicken. It had good taste and mashed potatoes tasted like if they were from the box. I also had the salad and lettuce was not fresh at all. If your gambling and just need to eat I’d go here but order the pizza. Brick oven pizza is pretty good here but today was in the mood for chicken.
Expected more selection from burgers but it was very good. Cheese fries with chilli on it was even better!! The sad part was no one smiled there None of the employees were smiling. If you don't like your jobs then quit go somewhere else.I got to see a Father and daughter pray before their meal which is very refreshing so refreshing I bought their meal.Remember pay it forward!!!
Food was good. But they should correctly update their hours of business... 1 place it still says open 24/7, some it says 10pm close and another 12am. Makes it hard to figure out what your options are late in the evening when you lose track of time being in the casino. As well as so many restaurants in the Shreveport/ Bossier City area still close rather early because of Covid.
So went there twice once for dinner and once for breakfast. The fish and onion rings was not good burned my mouth onion rings had not taste . Got the chicken fried steak for breakfast it literally burned my stomach ?.
We enjoyed the food here at 8oz Burger Bar. During our visit at Bossier City, we ate lunch and dinner here (located inside the Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel). The atmosphere, service, and food was great. They also have a great breakfast selection as well. You won't be disappointed when you dine here. If you like freshly pressed apple, orange, carrot juices, you can get it here...all natural sugar. Enjoyed the food and our time away.
Rhonda did a great job helping us with our order while training a new staff member. The chicken sandwich is my favorite. My husband had the monster dog he said it was very good. Restaurant needs some updating just like the other parts of the Horseshoe but the food is great and a favorite stop. Next time I want to try the fried pork chops they looked great.
During the past month I have stayed at Horseshoe Bossier about 6 different times Each time I have eaten at least one meal at 8 ounce during the course of my stay. I must say my last visit was absolutely the best my server was Julie she was very polite and super friendly. Julie was attentive to my needs and she never let my glass empty. She made very good recommendations from each menu which did not disappoint. If 8 ounce has an employee of the month award Julie would surely when it hands-down. Upon my next visit I will request Julie as my server.
Great food one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Booth was clean. And the service was great. I believe her name was Julie. Her and my girl friend hit it off good, very polite And I was in a drinking mood and she kept em coming and was not late. I will definitely be back next time I'm around bossier
