A very great place for the money. Buffet rules have changed a bit so they are fast paced. The young man is definitely the flash with his amazing great service. Food and service were fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this place for people from out of town as I would also tell family and friends. Really great ? (we liked it so much) We went back next day. The lady has to go.no morals. So glad we had the guy server. Be weary about that lady. She can wreck anything good that is said.
I came for Korean bbq and hot pot, but I stayed for the sushi. This is because “Korean bbq and hot pot, is not available right now”, if I was starving and that’s all I wanted at the time. I definitely would’ve been upset BUT $25 for an all you can eat sushi…? I was okay with it! If your not a sushi eater (raw or cooked), I don’t recommend this place. The hibachi, wasn’t your regular hibachi. The picture below with the chicken and rice is their hibachi ??. If your feeding kids, absolutely but if your a grown man. Not so much! I ordered the Buddha roll which was really good! Flavor and amount was nice! We also ordered chicken skewers and I wouldn’t recommend. So basically just come to this place if you’re looking to get a good price on sushi! The service was nice too our waitress was perfect timing EVERYTIME. Oh and it use to be called Nagoya, so I am interested to know what happened and why the name was changed. I give them 3 stars because I was expecting hot pot or Korean bbq.
Absolutely amazing! I watched my sushi roll be made so fresh the fish was sliced right then. My family ended up ordering from the hibachi and their dishes were perfect too. We trade food like weirdos. Don't judge. Lol when we're back in Baton Rouge we will definitely be back!
Food quality is cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. Hibachi meat was too chewy to eat. The waiter was not friendly and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. The lunch is all you can eat, but you won't want to each much. Spicy mayo was gross. Tempura shrimp wasn't done correctly. Crab salad tasted mostly of mayo. The restaurant smelled old like a thrift store. Worst 40 bucks I've spent in a while. (picture of the horrible hibachi meat below)
The food was great! BUT we didn’t get everything we ordered from the first round of ordering. We were there for 1 hour 45 minutes. I waited tables for 6 years and the major problem was the ordering system. They had paper tickets which if fine but when a dish came up to the pass, it was a free for all. If a server saw a dish on one of her tickets she grabbed it. There was ZERO organization for how the staff would bring plates to the tables. For the amount of money we paid for food we were very unhappy. The plate size was fine for an all you can eat type restaurant, but they were small. The small plates added to our aggravation with not getting our complete order. We enjoyed the food but we won’t be back simply because we don’t have that long to eat out and only receive half of what we ordered. Our entertainment was the games we played while waiting for our food. So we laughed the entire time, because the other option was to get mad or cry.
Looked up one place, only to find another. We wanted to have a Chinese Buffet. Found Nagoya on Google, used the direction option and when we arrived it was no longer there. In its place is Volcano. The sign says Korean BBQ, Sushi and Habachi. The inside was clean and decorated with generic eastern Nick Nacks, a mix of Chinese and Japanese. The food was typical for a Chinese restaurant. The only thing Korean on the menu was Udon Noodles. The day we visited there was no buffet. You ordered from a menu, which had plenty of options. The food was well cooked and served in a short period of time. The portions would be called small by most, but for me was just right. How this is setup, 25 a person, for all you can eat, is to order what you want up front, instead of a plate at a time. This will save time. Two people cost us 65 dollars. Which might seem high, but if you eat a lot, you will get your money’s worth.
I've gone here for years and loved their buffet. I went back recently after the name change and it has gotten even better.the food is so good and well made. you still have the buffet option but instead of getting up and getting your food, you're given a menu to use from. and you keep ordering as much as you want. but you will be charged full price for any food that's left over.the staff is so sweet and nice. very pleasant place to eat.and they still have the koi fish and turtles outside!
Great and really fresh sushi. We had the All You Can Eat lunch special and loved all the rolls we tried. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and said the rolls can also be modified if you want or have certain dietary restrictions.
I used to love this place , but I'll never go back . They have a limited menu now , it's all you can eat ,but not buffet style anymore . The food was still good , however - we were not informed before eating that we would be charged for what we didn't finish eating!!! I have never eaten anywhere that charged you for not finishing your food , absolutely ridiculous ?
We went and enjoyed this Korean restaurant 2 days in a row. The food was freshly hot ? & incredible.
