Tramonte’s did nit disappoint once again. If you gonna buy live crawfish, this is the place. Only select crawfish! Will always buy my crawfish from here!

One of the best meat markets in Baton Rouge. Had a small concern with my order and they immediately rectified the matter. If you’re looking for quality meat and excellent service, Tramonte’s is your place.

I've been taking wild game to this place for four years now. The customer service when you drop off and pick up the meat is terrible. They are so rude. I've dealt with several different people and they all have the same poor attitude. It's the culture there apparently. I will be going to Iverstine Farms from now onThey also make you get the meat processing 25 pound increments so you can't get a pure 50-50 mix

I had a long string on blonde hair in my food ?

I've had two absolutely terrible experiences here.1. Last summer. Bought what I thought were some nice filets. My brother-in-law (who is a Chef at a local restaurant) was going to cook for us. When he saw the meat, he scowled, but cooked it.It was a disaster. The quality of the meat was terrible and no one was happy. Brother-in-law said that they "saw me coming" and sold me the worst thing they had in the store.2. Tonight. Christmas Eve. I tried them again because I was lazy and it was easy. I called two days ago and ordered some Wagyu beef. The guy I talked to sounded like he was looking through the meat and told me that all he had was a Wagyu New York Strip. Perfect.I show up this morning and give my name. Their "system" for taking orders is to scribble it on a legal pad. The guy at the counter looked through the pad twice and couldn't find my name. I told him what I was looking for and he said, "We haven't had any Wagyu beef for two weeks."So let me tell you what really happened here. They had a limited amount, but they don't have any type of system to reserve orders. Someone sold the last piece, and the guy at the counter pretended I wasn't on the list.I also watched the guy in front of me spend a fortune on expensive Whiskey. I'd bought some of the same stuff the day before at "The Wine Store." I didn't pay near what Tramontes was charging. After calling everyone in town, I finally found what I wanted at Alexanders. Go there if you want good beef in Baton Rouge. Actually, go to Winn Dixie before you go to Tramontes.Never, ever again.

Always great.
