My birthday was a blast 7/15/22 chapter 55 - you guys were awesome and amazing with customer service - I was determined to have my party at the The Velvet Cactus - everything was on on point - you guys rocked with the food and drinks - again thank you for making my birthday celebration a top notch ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ overjoyed!!!

The restaurant and atmosphere are very nice, but that was the highlight. Mexican food is one of my favorite meals and I have eaten at many. I had the fajitas and by far the worst I have ever tried to eat, not really sure what was used as marinade but it was awful, did not taste like Mexican at all. The rice and beans also were very unappealing. The only thing that was good was the chips. This was my son's graduation dinner.No one was able to their food, shrimp quesadilla's and chicken burritos were equally as bad, Very disappointing!!
great atmosphere! customer service was excellent and food was great! best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Will drive to baton rouge any day to go here before I eat at the other Mexican restaurants close to home!
Pretty good food...not your everyday Mexican fare. CILantro Lime Salad is good, but no avocado in it as advertised menu....shame on you.THEN CHARGED FOR EXTRA DRESSING!! WONT BE BACK!
Cool looking place but that’s it! Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. Chips were stale. We got the Tex mex eggrolls and they had zero flavor! We left and didn’t even bother trying anything else. I do not understand how this place has so many good reviews
My husband and I moved to the area about 3 months ago and have been searching tirelessly for a great Mexican restaurant, as this is our favorite cuisine. After several failed attempts, we have finally found THE ONE. This place is absolutely phenomenal! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and our server, Amber, was fantastic. She suggested the strawberry jalapeño margarita and I can easily say that this was the best margarita I have ever had (I have had my fair share over the years). There was nothing we ordered that we didn’t love. The atmosphere, food and friendly people were everything we were looking for. I will even go one step further to say that this is the best Mexican restaurant we have ever been to and that’s saying a lot. Today was our first visit of many to come!
Was very good food, service was excellent. Loved the decorations. They have what I assume is local artist work displayed for sale. The outdoor eating area has heat lamps if you want to eat outside when it's chill, have a very laid back artsy atmosphere.
I was harassed by the staff when my order did not show up as requested. I was accused of lying about my order when it did not show up. I was demanded to remove my to go order from the bag so they "see" that I was not lying. Several employees violated my right to refuse to let multiple strangers handle my food after it had been packed to go. I felt disrespected behind a $5 taco that they failed to bring to the table. Plus, my margarita was subpar and my server did not listen well and missed several very detailed instructions. Racism is still very real.
First time there and had a great lunch. Food was great and we had plenty to take home for later
