Great food, atmosphere and service.
Ooh la la! The lemon butter sauce over the exquisite seafood-stuffed mushrooms was beyond compare. Oh, and the Signature Bread!! OMG!! And let me not forget to mention Kit, our waiter! He delivered delightful service throughout the meal. Great to see a really fine, mellow and successful restaurant on Third Street!
Went to the downtown location for a recent dinner and unfortunately my expectations were lessened when I walked in. I will say the staff was friendly but the seating was cramped and for such a place that lauds itself as "upscale", the tables against the wall were small and you are next to other diners (who by the way were very polite despite the close conditions). It had the vibe of a chaotic roadside diner than a place that charges a premium for it's dishes and the ambiance should reflect that. The fish was talapia, stuffed, which tasted like it was drenched in oil. Unfortunately we won't be back..too many other decent places in the area but we tried. I DO NOT want to discourage you from going or returning if you had a great experience previously. This is my own personal misadventure.
Fantastic food. Awesome experience! This place checks all the boxes.
The food was good! We decided to eat here prior to the comedy show we attended at The River Center.
This review pertains to the downtown 3rd street location. I hate to be negative especially when the Staff are so friendly and professional. The atmosphere and setting is great and the restaurant is immaculate. All that being said on the whole the food is not great. My wife and I have been here now three times, the first time we drank too much and thought that was the reason we weren't sure on the food. The second time we didn't drink as much but were still dubious. Now after our third visit its cannot just be us anymore. On our last visit we noticed a taste that was in nearly everything we ordered. From the stuffed mushroom's to lobster bisque to the Ribeye (which was among the worst I've ever had although it was cooked to a perfect medium rare) everything seemed to be suffused with a floral citrus taste that seemed intentional but was off putting to say the least. We tasted the same thing on our previous visit with the house special fish of the day. There are a few things that are amazing. The Bread and accompanying sides are more than worth it, the cocktails are all well done and delicious, the Salads and house dressing is great, and 2 of the three deserts we have had were amazing (Bread pudding and Caramel Custard). It just seems that at least for us the entrees and appetizers don't hit the mark especially considering the price of a night out here. Both my wife and I are from deep in the service industry and hate complaining especially when the restaurant is busy but three times is a trend.
excellent food and service
Our first time eating at this restaurant but will not be our last. Wonderful service and the food was on point! Complimentary bread is some of the best we've had anywhere.
Our food was amazing but our experience was not. We looked very carefully for a place to spend our anniversary and this place let us down. I don’t know if it was because we were a younger couple or they forgot to ask us but asked everyone else around us “are we celebrating anything special”. We did not come here to get free things but would have like to been asked if we were celebrating something special and treated as if we were more than just kids. If you are younger and celebrating something special I don’t recommend coming here as the older customers seem to be more important. The food was very good though.
My hubby and i had a date night and it was Such a beautiful experience. Definitely going again when I'm in town. Food was great! Service was very on point
