Amazingly fresh sushi as usual! And always delicious! Best sushi in Baton Rouge in my opinion. Love the New Orleans location as well. Never fishy! Great staff as well. Our waiter was very efficient for a party of nine.
Tonight, on a Thursday night, it took 3 hours for us to get seated, food and leave. I’ve never had this type of experience at this location before. 45 minutes for us to get a table and we were the only people waiting (party of 8 and they literally had ONE table we could sit at). Once we sat down, it was over an hour before we got food and we ordered as soon as we sat down because we were so hungry by the time we got seated. I’m really disappointed because this is my all time favorite sushi in BR. We were there for a birthday dinner but didn’t stay to do cake and presents after the food because we were so ready to go. And we had little kids. Kids waiting in a restaurant for 3 hours is HARRRRRDDDDD. For some positivity, The waitress was awesome.
We came in at 6PM on Friday night and did not leave till 8:42PM. The waitress did not come by for an hour to tell us the food was delayed or if we needed anything. I completely understand being understaffed, but when another waitress is sitting down with the table next to us and chatting it up with her friends it’s hard to be as understanding. We had to hold our arm out to stop our waitress to get her attention to pay our bill. Completely unacceptable to wait for over 2 1/2 hours for food when you are spending over $150 for a meal.
The best calamari and sushi I've ever had
The sushi was delicious, but the music was too loud. I had to shout to my friend, who was sitting across from me to be heard. I got the volcano sushi (left) and my friend got the rock n roll sushi (right). The volcano sushi was delicious. The atmosphere was nice. I had to park across the street.
My absolute favorite spot to grab a drink and a few rolls! Tuesday night specials are awesome! My girls and I were given amazing friendly service at the bar side tonight by Jennifer and Jess!

The restaurant was extremely loud but the quality and price of the food made that acceptable. My daughter said the miso soup was some of the best she has ever had and the rolls were made perfectly to our order.Our waitress, Shelby M., was the friendliest, sweet, and helpful we have experienced in a long time. She doesn’t make you feel rushed and her smile is contagious!We will definitely be back.
