While staying at the hotel the tavern is hosted in I had a few drinks to celebrate a friends Birthday. The service was fast and the bartender helpful and knowledgeable. The frozen drink offerings were tasty and well priced.
This is a high-rise convention-type hotel well suited for a state capital. I chose it because it was 100% non-smoking which is somewhat hard to find in the South. It had a good rate and availability, but it is a bit above our style preference. The room was on the 19th floor, which is one of the club floors. It was a lovely room with a terrific view of the parking lot and interstate highway. Highway noise basically fades into white noise. The bed and pillows were great. The walk-in shower was superb. Chandler who checked us in did an outstanding job. The bath towels are way too cheap for a hotel of this caliber. It did not fit around me. I was also surprised by how small the television was. The wifi worked well. The absence of bell-hops was another curiosity for a property like this. The parking is free, and there is ample parking, though some may require a good walk. The pool was not heated, and was rather small. There is no hot tub which was a disappointment.
Had a wonderful time last night at my moms celebration of life. The catered food was awesome. It was a magical night. Great bartender service from Ann and Julia. Cecilia’s event coordinators Sara and Julie were on point. Thanks again for a wonderful evening. Mom would be pleased.. ?
We typically stay here 4 x year- Convenient location with close restaurants on our route Room size good Nice pool area Not so good - microwave in the Marketplace was so disgusting we didn’t use It’s kid travel season - stock more than small tub of strawberry over summer I asked for 2 service requests via my ap - at check in told request had been taken care of - it was not. Asked housekeeping in hallway but never received No recycling can in room?
The Piccadilly was exactly like I remembered it it hadn't changed in 50 years either but the food was good the service was good Piccadilly has saved my life a million times giving me a good meal when I had to have one
Stayed 4 nights for a work/pleasure trip. Great experience overall. Loved the hard wood flooring in rooms - great for us allergy sufferers! Staff all very nice. Promptly fixed an in-room maintenance issue I had. No housekeeping unless requested. The hotel was full for the weekend so elevators took forever (and you probably don’t wanna take the stairs up to a floor past 5). It seems like they fill up often for various weekend events and such. The weekend we were there they were hosting a pageant, multiple weddings and the Baton Rouge blues festival was happening downtown. No walkable restaurants really but Uber was easy for getting around
We were at the bar and jasmine was our bartender she was excellent. Had a few drinks and an appazier. My boudin balls were cold in the middle. They were corrected right away.
We stayed here while visiting Baton Rouge. It's about 4 miles from downtown which was our area of interest. I think downtown was about 2 exits to the west on I-10. Hotel is located off Exit 158. We had a NS, King room with a desk and chair, couch and coffee maker. Room had a walk in shower and the bathroom was a decent size. Everything was clean and the room spacious. Lots of electrical outlets and charging ports. Floor to ceiling windows and we had an east facing view. The only downside to this hotel is that it is tall (21 floors) and right by the freeway. So there is a lot of road noise. The AC and fan were not enough to dampen the sound. I wear ear plugs so it wasn't an issue for me. My wife wore them the second night. And there are only 2 sides to the hotel so I don't believe there are any quiet rooms. The other side looks west down the freeway. We tried the restaurant, the lounge actually because the restaurant was closed. It had a short menu but what we had was OK. If visiting Baton Rouge again I would probably look for a quieter option.
Stayed at this hotel recently to visit family in the area. The room and lobby were especially clean and well-kept. The front desk staff was AMAZING and super helpful! Ordered a pasta from the restaurant and it was made wonderfully. Would totally recommend this place to friends and family
Perfect location, and very accomodating staff. Everyone was SO nice and made sure we were taken care We stayed right after Hurricane Ida, everyone was quite welcoming!! 10/10 Definitely would recommend or come back to it.
