Very happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant!! Everybody was friendly and the food was GREAT!! The owner was very accommodating with my weird requests due to food allergies! For sure worth checking out if you're in the area ?

We stopped here on our way to Florida and the food was amazing. The owner and staff were very attentive and patient with us. Crawfish was so good, the ribs, Mac and cheese, dirty rice, frog legs, Gator tail, coleslaw and homemade bbq sauce on point and last but not least that lemonade omgosh was just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area

On the way to Florida we stopped here mainly for the crawfish. The crawfish was well seasoned and at an amazing price. The fried fish and shrimp were delightful. The mac n cheese was out of this world. This food was like no other. My new favorite stop in Louisiana.

Me & my son stopped to get some boiled crawfish the guy in the front was very polite and helpful. Very clean well kept buisness... But by the time we made it home with the crawfish to eat, we were eating mud. They appeared to be field run crawfish, there was snails, fish and everything in the batch. 15lbs of salty mud. I usually don't do reviews but this was the first and last time for me. I'm sorry. I couldn't eat nor enjoy them and I'm disappointed.

the food was horrible. my burger was completely burnt, and the patty wasn't even flattened out all the way. it was literally a black ball between two soggy pieces of bread with soggy fries. and their crawfish is too small & too salty; i couldn't enjoy even two of them. 1/10, wouldn't recommend it.

Believe me, you WILL love this place!!!Hone your ping pong skills. Pack up a cooler. Bring a hearty appetite. Not only does Von know his way around the kitchen, but beat him to 21 at his ping pong table, and you’ll eat for FREE!Great food in a laid back friendly atmosphere right across from Baton Rouge’s oldest residential subdivision (ca. 1920). Von has opted against a liquor license for the time being, so guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol should they chose. We came in to try the crawfish and were very, very pleased. Select bugs, very well seasoned. They’re served with corn, potatoes and sweet bell peppers. As good or better than any crawfish we’ve had anywhere. Von advised that he just picked them up from Church Point and assured us that they were sleeping in the swamp only 24 hours ago.Intrigued with his menu, we asked to try his bbq ribs. WOW, they did not disappoint. Fall apart tender and full of smoked flavor. We got ours with some fine mustard greens and Mac n cheese. I’d put Von’s Mac n cheese against anyone’s anywhere! We flattered him so much on his ribs, he thought we deserved a chance to try his frog legs and catfish. Can’t figure out why he thought we were so deserving, but, man, oh man, them frog legs were extraordinarily good. Fresh out the fryer … really wonderful!!Despite the fact we were absolutely stuffed, incredibly fat & sassy from a wonderful meal, we managed to split an order of his peach cobbler. Having gotten 5 gallons of direct from Three Roll Distillery, Von incorporated that into the cobbler. What an array of rich and satisfying flavors!!!It was a happy circumstance that got us to Pit N Peel. It’s newly established loyalty that will bring us back. We’re now BIG fans! Rock on, Von!

The best tasting crawfish I’ve ever had! ? We also ordered crab cakes and they were delicious!! Would come back to Baton Rouge just to come here again!
