Food and Service Was Great!

Nice clean environment everyone was so polite and very professional!!

Loved it

Stayed here on business. Had to meet another traveler the next day, so just had breakfast here. Buffet was convenient enough so that is what we did. It was average at best. Nothing special and nothing specially made. Just the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, fruit, etc. It was $17 PP, which I thought was a lot, especially since we were guests. Waitress often hard to find when you needed a refill. You eat here for the convenience, but not much else.

The lunch was a buffet. The sausage and chicken gumbo was excellent, as was the fried catfish. The seafood pasta and squash were not good.

Bad service horrible menu from the 1970s

Hotel food... nothing special but will do. A step up from frozen microwaveable food. I think it’s filling the gap but nothing they’re putting a lot of effort into. I’m not complaining but it’s bothing to brag on either. I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I leave full and the service is friendly. If they’re busy it can get hectic.

We are staying at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center for a dance convention and my daughter interns with the convention so she can’t really leave the hotel for meals. This is the only reason we ate at the hotel for dinner and I am sorry that I didn’t just let her get her flatbread and then allowed myself to go eat somewhere else. But I went ahead and ate here. My daughter’s flatbread was fine, but my shrimp and grits was terrible. The description on the menu says “grilled shrimp with stone ground cheese grits, Andouille sausage, shallots, celery, red peppers, tossed in brandy cream sauce.” What a joke. The grits might have been stone ground but that was the only thing that was true to the menu. The shrimp was poor quality and not grilled, there were no shallots, celery or red peppers, and the sausage was not Andouille but something similar to Eckrich sausage from the grocery store. Furthermore, the grits were not cooked in any creamy brandy sauce and the smallest amount of cheese was added. The whole dish was a waste of time and money. I cannot believe I wasted a meal here in Cajun country when I could have gone to so many other places nearby. In addition, while the wait staff was friendly and respectful, they were slow and confused. First I was told that there was no dinner buffet, which is why we ordered from the menu, then 25 minutes later, I saw the staff set up for a buffet. I had to wait and wait for someone to give me my ticket and I could have easily just walked out of the restaurant without settling my bill, as the staff was sparse and there were several moments when the restaurant had only customers, no staff. Anyway, I do not recommend eating here, the menu makes the food sound gourmet but I have made much better shrimp and grits at home and I am not a Cajun chef. 1/5 stars
