For starters we should take the name New York out of the title. This place is not in the realm of New York. The vibe feels depressing and as though someone just gave up and they are mid way closing for good. The bagels aren’t on display. The fridge is dark and doesn’t show cream cheese or any other kind of Deli style salads. Example - Potato - Macaroni. They don’t do breakfast after 10:30am and they take the coffee away at 10:30am. These are BASICS of any establishment in New York. What can you get on the bagel? One would never know since there’s no menu. Once you do get the mystery bagel from the back, it’s dry, cakey, and tasteless, unlike the crispy chewy delicious bagels of NY. The only redeeming quality is the nice staff. People who gave this place more than one star have been living in Baton Rouge for too long. Wouldn’t recommend!
Great bagels. Great service.
I waited years for this salmon caper morningYes! Just great.
Wow, exceeded my expectations. Garlic bagel changed my life!
I really enjoyed my sandwich. I felt like i was back in Astoria.
Place is never opened, when they are they can get away with maybe Pennsylvania definitely not New York and not even the same state as New York
The bagels are good. The breakfast sandwiches okay as well. They aren’t great but they aren’t bad. They are literally just okay. Neither of the cashiers working inside were wearing masks.
Might be a good deal for the dozen bagels but the sandwiches are super expensive. Cool vibe on the inside but that really only goes so far. Buy a dozen and make your sandwich at home!
Since the new owners have taken over its just not the same any longer. The staff are not professional at all. They are just kids that need more customer service training including the kitchen manager who was there with the previous owner. My order was not correct and when I called the young girl Diana wants to go around in circles with me as if I was the one who ordered it wrong. When I asked to speak to a manager to help me I get laughed at in the back ground and hear someone say tell them we are not here. TOTALLY unprofessional and I see why its not the same with new ownership.
Bagels were good but a bit under baked. They are boiled so that gives them an edge. Got a dozen but they no longer give a banker's dozen even though the menu board says so. Also all the pricing is off fro websites and earlier photos, I've tried to include new video and photos. Worth the trip of you long for New York style bagels in Baton Rouge. Bagel with lox was excellent. Not skimpy on the salmon. Enjoy.
