The moment Jennifer and I entered Mi Padres, we received top-notch service from Omar (very welcoming, attentive, and considerate). Our orders (one steak bowl and one chicken-broccoli bowl) were speedy, piping-hot, fresh, delicious, nutritious, and hearty. Despite our cold chips, the bean dip, friendly service, cleanliness, ambiance, vegetable variety, pricing, and generous dessert voucher more than made up for this. Without a doubt, we will revisit Mi Padres!

Got the street tacos with beans and rice. The taco was ok, the beans were rancid and the rice was awful. The serving size of the beans and rice were a joke. There was more liquid than beans. Never seen beans and rice served like this it was laughable.

No problems with the food, it was fresh and actually improved over the past couple years I think. I do believe $15 for a taco salad (no meat) is absurd, as is $16 for traditional tacos. I see they are starting 1/2 price fajitas on Weds? I would definitely go for that.Server dude was running ragged on a Sunday, but still did a good job?

This is the third time I have visited this establishment. The other reviews are correct, The ground beef is bland and the queso is not flavorful. The steak quesadilla- sadly not much flavor. I will say this- their portions are way better for the price than other establishments that rhyme with inferior thrill. The fajitas were on good. They offer brewed tea, sweetened and unsweetened. Their chips are crispy and not stale. The bathroom needs to be cleaned. In my work experience, I equate the state of the bathroom with the state of the kitchen.

I was there a day ago the boss I think he is an Arab treated his employees badly in front of everyone, he verbally abused them like animals, He is an Arab person who should be reported, denounced for abuse, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and education and appreciate the work of the employees, I really feel sorry for people like him who do not know how to appreciate people, nor value them. DO NOT GO LOOKING FOR A JOB IN THAT RESTAURANT THE BOSS IS AN EXPLOITER

Food was great and Baylie was awesome! Ask for her next time you go!

Very good service and yummy food! Gotta love free chips, salsa and bean dip. The tacos were a great recommendation and everything tasted fresh for the most part. On the pricier side but that’s expected these days. Outdoor seating was nice and breezy. Would recommend!

The waiter was great very honest, I like that in a waiter. The place was clean. The food however was very disappointing. The ground beef had not flavor the chicken tasted like a kitchen seasoning mistake, it was just gross. The shredded beef was dried out. I like it that way however No one else does. Lol. It sad when the beans and rice are the best things on the plate. Also very over priced. $4.50 for a tamale.

This was my first visit to Mi Padres and it was even better than I was expecting. The margaritas were fantastic, the street tacos were some of the best i’ve had in Baton Rouge, and our waitress (Jojo) was very attentive and kept our drinks and chips full all night. Very impressed and will be coming back soon!

Great restaurant with healthy options, such as lettuce wraps and the burrito bowl. The seafood enchilada is delicious but not heavy at all, it’s perfect. Their dishes are the perfect portions, not a huge place of heavy food. Sarah has been our server and said in sign language “thank you” to my Deaf mother, which was sweet and thoughtful. It’s the little things that make our experience there very meaningful.
