Food was good and waitress was very friendly. It's nothing like going to a place to eat and enjoy the people that's there. Informed me about the drinks and the food. I was lost on the Mexican food but she suggested the fried redfish it was amazing. The drinks were amazing. Top shelf margaritas. OMG I feel just right. I'll DEFINITELY be back here.
Absolutely Love It! Recently moved back to Baton Rouge and was referred by a friend. Mestizo will definitely be on the “go-to” list of local restaurants.A wonderful mix of Mexican and Louisiana cuisine.I tried the shrimp & crab enchiladas and they were awesome.Great cocktails, service and decor… although they have upgraded the interior design from the pics shown online.Very nice with a nice bar area.
Chill atmosphere. Great service!Server was attentive, helpful and very nice throughout. Manager was very welcoming.The Cancun dish was absolutely delicious! And their frozen margaritas ? are perfection! ?
Great options, loved the keto menu! Had the chicharrones nachos, only complaint needed more cheese or a queso on the side would have been better!
I ordered food on 1/26/22 th through Uber eats. The ceviche was no good. I had better ceviche when I bought at seaside in Bahamas. The salsa did not taste good supermarket brand is way better than this. The entree chicken enchiladas taste horrible. . I paid $65 for poorly cooked food. For 4 plus star I expected great food. Very think was just bad.
This place is my favorite Mexican place in Baton Rouge! Get the Honey Bee Rita and the Sweet Potato may power bowl. You will NOT be disappointed. ???????????????????
It was a delightful fusion and the flavors were on point. I appreciated the atmosphere and also the hospitality. I love chips and salsa and before I was finished my first bowl, they had already given me another one. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a solid fusion restaurant.
Just moved back to Louisiana... went into Mestizo for a date night and wow!!! Friendly and professional waitstaff and absolutely delicious food, would highly recommend to anyone in BR. They also happily accommodated my 8 month old! Great place, we will be back!
I was just one of a large party celebrating a friend's birthday. We occupied about a third or a half of the large room behind the bar. Service was impeccable. Drinks and food arrived with a quickness and the individual bills were accounted expertly. I can't speak to the food or beverages except to say they kept the ice water flowing. Everyone at my table was well satisfied by their choices. What could easily have been a trainwreck was instead a perfectly delightful three and a half hours on a Friday night out at peak dinner time in Baton Rouge.
Went there for a radio drama club meeting. Food was excellent and service was great. It was Halloween so we had the blood orange margaritas. Also excellent!!
