I don’t know how to feel about the Lakehouse! The venue is beautiful but it’s a shame the management isn’t the best. Our wedding felt so rushed that I didn’t get all my pics!! Our left over food that we paid for got thrown away (which was a lot of food) instead of boxed up as promised. I literally just got a spoonful of food after paying so much! The bridesmaids and some guest got treated rudely and I was just so hurt by our treatment. I didn’t get my candles down the aisle, the DJ wasn’t offered a meal even though there was plenty and I spent an entire weekend making wedding favors that the guest didn’t get because they didn’t see them!! Nothing that I asked for during the rehearsal did we get day of!! We never got to pick out our signature drink and we were literally treated like we didn’t matter!! Nevertheless, our wedding was beautiful but it definitely could’ve been a lot better. Even the servers were unfriendly. I’m not one to complain. I’m usually a go with the flow person so for me to speak trust what I say!! Our goal was to have a romantic intimate wedding and thank GOD we were able to have that but the service was not up to par. I was so embarrassed and unhappy with the service that we are now planning a reception for our one year anniversary so the guest who attended our wedding can actually have a good time. We owe them that. And I feel like I need a do over! Maybe if you use this place for an event then book the entire day and things might be different or maybe certain people get certain treatment. As for us that wedding was so rushed and botched. We just made the best of a horrible situation. Maybe next timeRESPONSE: Lauren honey I don’t know who your trying to impress but I have no reason to lie. Please speak with whoever you need to speak with because I have copies of contracts as well. I also have a ton of guests who can attest to what I mentioned!! And no you were paid in full!!! The financial constraints were we weren’t about to go over budget and pay another dime for unnecessary stuff!! Per the contract you were supposed to supply decor and you wrote and stated that you would provide candles from a previous event you had no need for. We also paid for beer we never received and that cost us 800 bucks!! How would you know the count was over when no one was standing at the door counting and greeting guests as promised!? I personally had my husband go and ask the DJ if he had eaten, which he had NOT, and it was the GROOM who fixed him a meal. When I asked about picking our drink you said we would do it at the rehearsal and then you weren’t even there! I’m not making this upon my head nor am I getting any personal gain! What I am doing is helping someone else who may need a heads up before they make a mistake. By the way as I previously stated in spite of the things we didn’t get it still turned out beautiful. It’s just disheartening that we paid for things we DID NOT GET!! I hugged you because it was my wedding day, I’m a bigger person and I didn’t feel like crying on my wedding day!! But yes Lauren we wasted a lot of money picking your venue.
They helped make our wedding perfect. It truly felt like they wanted to take care of us like family. We had a small ceremony with only about 15 people for two hours. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed everything they ate (the bread pudding is so good!!! My guests want to try and get a whole tray so we can split it!) the interior and exterior is beautiful and it was easy for my more elderly guests to get about on the stairs. The interior was the perfect backdrop to our ceremony and if we ever have to have another event or gathering I know exactly who to go to. When we planned everything it was always easy to get in contact or get an answer and Lauren was amazing with helping to make sure we got everything we wanted for our special day. She truly helped to take the stress of reception planning and catering off of my shoulders. All of my guests sung their praises during and after. All of Lauren’s staff were amazing and thank you to her mom for my special to go gift❤️.
We loved the Lake House! It was beautiful inside and out. Our event was perfectly handled. The food was great and everyone was super helpful. The price was reasonable as well. It was wonderful to NOT have to worry about a thing!! We just relaxed and enjoyed the venue.
We had our wedding there on 12/30/2121 and it was great! The food was delicious, the building itself is beautiful, but the best part is Ms. Lauren and her staff. She went above and beyond and took care of us from day one! We would recommend it 100% all my family and friends had the best time!
Lauren was fantastic to work with throughout the process. She was always responsive to our calls and emails, very professional, and extremely accommodating to many of our wishes. The food was wonderful and her staff was attentive but not a distraction to our event.
Awesome Experience!Our recent rehearsal dinner was a beautiful evening! The venue is lovely, and very clean, the food delicious (particular hits were the shrimp and grits, jambalaya, and the boudin balls) and Lauren was great to work with from our initial contact and throughout the event, being very attentive to all the details! Our celebration toasts were running long, so the staff even served the desserts to the tables so everyone could stay seated!Thanks for a wonderful evening!!
Our wedding reception at Lake House Reception Center was perfect thanks to Lauren’s hard work, attention to detail, professionalism, passion for ensuring excellence, and the fact that she honestly cares about her customers and their experience. Lauren went above and beyond to make us comfortable, confident, and feel at ease before and during our event. She was so caring and attentive to us throughout the entire planning process and actual event that we now consider her a friend.Our guests raved about the venue, the attention to every detail, customer service by the entire staff, and the food. I cannot recommend Lake House enough! It’s a beautiful location and the staff’s attention to detail is top notch!There are so many great places for pictures. All over the grounds and the wrap around porch are pretty. Inside there are mantles/fireplaces and chandeliers and lots of windows!We booked our reception with Lake House a couple months before COVID started. Once we realized this wasn’t going away before our wedding in December, we decided to meet with Lauren to discuss postponing. We were able to come to an agreement on a new date the following December (2021).Lauren helped us orchestrate picking up samples of the food so we could make our menu selections. She was also always available to answer questions and offer suggestions.When I waited too long to order my flowers, she did them herself and they were BEAUTIFUL. I do not recommend this though, she has enough to do without doing flowers! She seemed to just fill in all the holes that I missed. Like a wedding super hero or something!She and the rest of the staff were amazing before and during our party. Regularly asking if we needed anything to drink/eat (because we all know how thirsty you’ll be when you get stuck talking to that relative that you can’t get away from lol). Lauren suggested that we use our “signature drink” for our toasting photos and even thought to not get the sugar on the rim of my glass so it wouldn’t mess up my lipstick! She literally thought of ALL the things - like she’s done this before or something!I cannot thank Lauren and her staff for making our day as easy and enjoyable as possible. All of our guests raved about the food and how beautiful everything was!
We held a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding at The Lake House. Lauren was influential in many decisions, because we had our own ideas and she found ways to improve on each. The night of the event the venue was beautiful, the staff attentive, the food absolutely delicious and Lauren was there to ensure the wedding party and guests were treated special. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. HIGHLY recommend.
Your wedding and reception would be fantastic at this place. Beautiful surroundings and my outside wedding was carefully monitored by Lauren, my wedding planner. She answered all my questions and was very accommodating. I was 11 minutes late to my own wedding and Lauren and her staff set up the tables and my flowers. I was led to a beautiful room to quickly get dressed. She was right there to help me and the wedding party. Everyone was so kind to my father, who was seated outside to take me down the aisle. I had no worries with my band, the bar, andour personal catered dinner. Her staff helped my caterer clean up and pack my extra food. They were professional and attentive to all my guests and the little extras, like a coffee bar and decoration's,were lovely.I loved my day and you will too.
