This is a good place to take the kids if you have a little caah and some time to kill. The play area is well-maintained and the kids really enjoy it. They charge $3 per kid to play in the play area. Their menu is pricey and their portions are small, but the coffee is pretty good. I do wish that there was more than one table for adults to sit at in the play room, but sitting space is a little limited, so it's understandable.

This place is so good and the staff is so sweet! ? The coffee has been delicious and so has the sweet tea, muffins, and sunrise breakfast! Plus they have a drive through which is so fast and convenient? not to mention it’s absolutely adorable on the inside !
Java Mama at Central Square is nothing short of AMAZING! I recently booked my daughter’s 1st birthday party there after hours and let me tell you - they went above and beyond anything I could have expected! They made hosting so easy, totally helped me decorate and even had suggestions on where we should hang banners, etc. They brought my vision to life and it looked even better than I imagined!The service is always top notch and the food and drinks are simply the best! ❤️
Best place to stop by or stay a while! The food is amazing! The owners and staff are so passionate about the dishes and drinks that they create! It's also a wonderful atmosphere. Everybody feels like friends and family. The play area is adorable and my daughter absolutely loves going there. Bathrooms are always clean and roomy which is helpful when toting around the little ones. Love, love love!!!
If you haven't been to Java Mama recently, or haven't been at all you are missing out! The play area for children is clean, safe, and fun. Its enclosed in its own room with viewing walls so you can safely see the kids, but those dining outside the play area will not hear the children. I've gone with my children and without and have thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. HOWEVER let's talk about the show stopper....the food. Nothing, and I mean nothing I've had has disappointed! The new management and chefs are nothing short of stellar! Homemade, quality ingredients. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. You will not regret a visit here!
The food is amazing and the renovations for the play area are totally worth giving this place a try. We used to go a lot when my kids were infants but stopped because they were too young to be left alone in the play area with the bigger kids but now we can sit and eat with them while they play. There is not a food or drink option now that isn’t unbelievable and the staff make it a place that is warm and welcoming!
Once you go to Java Mama you'll never go anywhere else! PERFECT spot for breakfast dates, play dates and special events. If you like hot coffee try the Bourbon Salted Caramel Latte and if you like frozen coffee try the Pecan Praline Frappuccino! And for breakfast the absolute BEST thing on the menu is the HANDMADE Sunrise Croissant! The staff is amazing, and the environment is super clean! I LOVE JAMA MAMA (if you couldn't tell!)
I had an great time at Java Mama! The owners are amazing and they run the place top notch! It’s super clean. The music ? selection has a beautiful vibe. The kids play area is perfect and is loaded with activities!The food is soooooooo good!! I recommend the chicken salad, crawfish bisque, and Croissants ?***Update***I tried the Caprisi Toast!! OMG it is delicious ?New Favorite Drink: Raspberry Lemonade Hydro with a scoop collagen!
This place is fabulous!! We stopped on our way across the country as our promise to ourselves to visit local shops in lieu of chains. The people running it have incredible energy, are very thoughtful, and care a lot about what they are doing. They were about to close and instead of turning us away, they were incredibly gracious. Their croissants are very yummy!! And, as it turns out, our friend who lives in eastern Louisiana says it’s her fave place to go when in Baton Rouge. Watch out for this place, because with the new owners at the helm, things are going to take off! We’ll definitely visit again if back in the area!
