Great food and vibes... Definitely a place where locals in the neighborhood go to eat and drink regularly... I have gotten burgers and po-boys at the other location. I opted for RBR and it was really good. I definitely tasted the roux was done the way it is supposed to be done.Prices have risen but no more than everything else at other places. Service was excellent.

we go for their specials different everyday. they have a menu to choose from po-boys and hamburgers, plates

Ate here as we were passing through. Everything was delicious! Would highly recommend.

Always excellent! Great food, staff and neighborhood vibe make George's Southside our favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. Ten stars y'all.

Consistency is key. Their marge (but not too large) menu has a ton of REALLY good specialties. Many other reviewers complain about the dark atmosphere. Uh, folks, it's a pub. It could not be more pub-like in the atmosphere. It's not supposed to be fancy. I'll start with my favorite -- the rib-eye and swiss. The rib-eye is like shaved cheesesteak type of meat. Really tender and seasoned perfectly. It's served on toast, which early on I thought was kinda lame, but now I think it's the right bread choice. The seafood po'boys are top-notch. Fully dressed does not get you pickles for some reason, so you have to ask for that. The fried appetizers are phenomenal -- especially the fried pickles and fried mushrooms. The service is not only friendly -- it's FAST! No waiters or waitresses, so you pick up your food when they call your name.

The fish plate was awesome. The price was decent. Unfortunately, service was disappointing even though it is order at the counter (nothing hard). We will be back for another try, as everyone has bad days occasionally. Improved service will = 5 stars.

Good food, fair price. Generous portions

Me and the hubs always split a seafood platter. Best thin cut catfish and always excellent! Geaux tigers!

Great Shrimp Poboy. Relax atmosphere. Very reasonable prices.

Kudos that they were open after the hurricane. However, the food wasn't very good. I had the shrimp roumelade salad and margarita which was very small and drink was not good. husband had a burger and fries (fries weren't burnt or had no flavor) and my son had a grilled cheese sandwich, it was fine.
