We had not been to the restaurant for a while. Covid kept us in. We enjoyed a familiar restaurant knowing the quality of food you would get. Druissilla always does a good job. Lindsay and Pam, our servers, were attentive. It was a busy night for them. Lindsay made sure my granddaughter got noodles with no sauce just as she asked. I enjoyed my seafood platter and my daughter and husband said their dishes were great as well. Drusilla has be around for years, and the good food and serve have not changed.
Our family visited after being away so long from Covid. We had a great time. Lindsay and Pam, our servers, were wonderful. They were very attentive even though it was a busy night for them. They were quick to get the children 's plates out so they could start eating. They even made noodles for my granddaughter with no sauces. My seafood platter was delicious and I had plenty to bring home. The cheese cake, oh my, was the best. Even the grandchildren who can be picky eaters, were gobbling it up. My husband and daughter both had wonderful things to say about their meal. It was nice to be back in a familiar place with good staff and food.
We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience last night. The red fish over eggplant topped with shrimp and crab meat was absolutely excellent Service was excellent as well And the cost was quite reasonable Suggest you give it a try
Waited over 45 minutes to be seated with a reservation made over 2 weeks ago!!! 2 parties was late and was still seated before me and my party. The host spend 30 mintues running around saying “we are trying to figure it out. One of the employees that was responsible for cleaning tables….was talking on the phone for 10 minutes as if it was not 3 parties waiting to be seated. When I finally got seated …waited over a hour and 30 minutes just for the server to forget my order. COMPREHENSION is key!! Not fast pace!!!! How do you forget to even make sure everyone had their food? How do you write down an entire order with out checking to see if everything is on the time? As the person that made the reservations I’m happy that the mothers enjoyed the food. I ordered crawfish but kind of glad he forgot about it because my family said they were blend which is normal for Baton Rouge (North Louisiana would never!!!?) I came here for the first time for a Christmas party in December and had a good experience but after today never again!!! Maybe it’s the new staff/management I don’t know. This was very inconsiderate and careless. I was at this restaurant from 7pm to 10pm and did not get serve anything. The glasses was dirty as well. Yet I was still charged for a tip?? Lol a complete joke!!
Me and my family were traveling through and were craving some crawfish and seafood gumbo- DRUSILLA DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! All of our dishes from the culinary team were FANTASTIC! Unfortunately they didn’t have any oysters or soft shell crab, but no biggie. They still had amazing alternatives to choose from. We started with their calamari and fried crab fingers. For my entree I got their ribeye, my dad- the steak Drusilla (ribeye), and my mom ordered their feature-red fish and eggplant. Our meals were perfect. We chose to order the crawfish (4lbs) and gumbo (bowl) to-go. This is where 1 star was deducted…. we waited close to an hour for our to-go order after we finished eating.
We went to eat around 3:30 this afternoon. We were seated in a timely manner. We received water and hush puppies after just a few minutes. However, NO server ever came to our table to even take our drink order. After waiting 20 min my husband went to the hostess stand and complained. She went and talked to someone and said they would be right out. We waited another 15 min and finally walked out. 35 min and no one had acknowledged we were even there after the first few min. There was one server waiting on 2 tables. He looked our way a few times but never came over. I was so disappointed. I know it was an off time but the other 2 tables weren’t having any issues being waited on. One couple came in about 15 min after we had and had already received drinks and an appetizer. We used to go there all the time and wanted to go since we were in town to visit with family and friends. What a disappointment and waste of time. No one even acted as if they cared we walked out. I hope the people walking in as we left received better service.
I was very impressed with the selection on the menu. Everything sounds delicious. I got the combination plate with fried shrimp, clams, crab cake, fried fish, a seafood gumbo, grill portobello mushrooms with a wine reduced brown gravy, as far as the service and our waiter you couldn't have asked for a nicer and more efficient waiter she was very diligent about making sure we had everything we needed and everything was up to our standards, I recommend this place for anyone to at least try once I believe that you will find it very pleasing the atmosphere and the food.it was best that I've had in any restaurant. It will not be the last time you'll visit once you try it out
My husband and I ate at Drusilla's tonight. The hostess was angry because we wanted to be seated at another table. I could tell that she was talking about us to other staff, because they looked our way after being huddled together. and then dispersing. The food was horrible, except for the hush puppies. I ordered the Drusilla and the sauce tasted like pure worcestershire sauce. It did not look like there were any onions in the sauce, like described on the menu. The sauce was very thick, like they scooped it out of a container and put in the microwave for 10 seconds. However, our waiter was really nice and friendly. This is the last time I'm eating at Drusilla's.
It's been over 20 years since I have eaten at Drusilla's, I enjoyed every bit of it!
We enjoyed our lunch at Drusillas. The gumbo and eggplant seafood casserole were my favorite. The kid's meals are a nice size.
