This place has went downhill over the years. They make their own hours, take cash only, and are slow to service, and no one answers the phone, and they have no social media outlets, or ways to make external orders in 2022! I’ve never seen a business where customer service is non-existent. If you can’t keep up with the demand hire staff. The service is never consistent, ever! You can order 30 minutes before head there and the food will not be done for another 20 minutes! As a black owned restaurant you get looked down upon on because you can’t provide the same levels of service or being consistent as larger counterparts. This place had more than a decade to become one of the largest soul food restaurants in this area. Home cooked food is not a excuse for a free pass to slow service.

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. I ordered the turkey wings plate and their tea to drink and trust me, they did not disappoint! I will be returning to try everything on the menu!

Dropping off my daughter for college and heard so much about this place. Went out my way to get the delicious food I’ve heard so much about…. Unfortunately after an hour of waiting and asking about my order we were told they lost our ticket. The RUDE and AGGRESSIVE waitress laughed at us and told us she wasn’t the one…not sure which one she meant. An older and nicer lady came out to talk to us offered our money back and a meal on the house but after standing in what felt like 110 degree heat we cautiously declined. Ms. Dorothy get new staff!!!!

Food was all way too sweet it tasted like sugar was the only seasoning they had EVERYTHING WAS SWEET!! Soul food is savory never ever again it was myself and 6 others we all threw our food out !!
How is the price one $, when chitterlings are $20?! Pork Chops $13? The food is good but only worth it if you can't cook or don't have the time to do it or kitchen to do it.
