Great food, great people, great service; nice family environment; a little loud but in a safe area and quick service

I've been coming for years for special occasions and never had an issue until recently. I went w my gf to celebrate 5 minths together. We showed up and there was a wait of about 45 mins for a table on the patio. The hostess informed me i had to wait there (as opposed to taking my phone number so i could wait in the car) which would've been fine, but there was no where to wait. The inside was packed and super loud, so we decided to wait outside in the parking lot. We sat in the gravel for over 30 mins. When we got a table, they tried to sit us inside. I wanted to comply but after a full minute of the loudness, I asked if we could be moved to the patio. We were sat at a folding table in the gravel (not under the patio). Someone came to take our drink order and bring us water. We waited a while to order, I didn't time it. When we finally ordered, we only got a plate of chicken parm to share. The owner came by to chat for a sec bc I guess he could tell we were being neglected. The side salad came (split even though we specificed not to) before we even got our waters. The soda didn't arrive til much later. The menus never left our table, nor the dirty salad plates. We didn't ask for them to plate the meal separately, but it arrived that way. The chicken was clearly left in the fryer for too long bc it was dark and slightly burnt tasting. I ate it anyway bc I didn't feel like waiting another hour for them to fix it. Here's the most confusing part. I don't know who our server was. I think it was the girl who ran the card at the end, but multiple different people came to our table randomly to give us things. I didn't know who to ask for anything or who that tip went to. It was very disappointing and I felt dumb for gushing abt how good this place is when were on the way there. This was my favorite date night restaurant in baton rouge until now. I might give it another try one day, but this experience has definitely damaged my opinion of this restaurant. ?

Great food and atmosphere.

It was delicious and the service was great

Staff was super nice, but wasn't impressed with the food. Tomato sauce on the pizza was too sweet for me, and i wasn't bowled over by other lunch items. Perhaps will try dinner plates in future if I make it back there. Lots of patrons were enjoying those.

This place was recommended to us by 2 different locals, so a group of 5 of us went here for dinner. Its a small place and we had to wait for about 30 mins, but well worth the wait. Our server Mattie was great. All of the food taster great.

I tried to call ahead to place a takeout order. 3 times the guy who answered hung up, because apparently he couldn’t hear me on my truck speaker….so I tried to call back- 8 more times. They let the call go to voicemail every time. I had to block my number to get an answer. I ordered. The meatball was a disappointment & It tasted like it is cut with potted meat. It’s not the same place it used to be. I guess it’s Monjunni’s sugar lasagna next time. Im done here. They have gotten a bit too arrogant & the quality ain’t what it used to be.

Had a lunch pizza out front in the open air with the interstate traffic providing the backdrop of noise pollution. Not exactly the french quarter but this is Baton Rouge. The pizza was descent but not spectacular.

The bartender named Mac is so handsome and charming and makes an excellent Old Fashioned, he also looks like he goes to the gym a lot and is probably really strong!
