I invited my family there to celebrate a birthday, was willing to even get a VIP section and spend money with the company just for us to be racially profiled before even entering the door. I asked for a corporate number due to the unpleasant attitude and threaten by the security off just for showing them a valid “Louisiana purchase Identification” mind you we are all over 21! And had no problem with showing the ID. Spoked with the GM to ask for a corporate number and he gave me the wrong number on purpose so I wouldn’t be able to reach out to the corporate office directly. I would like to speak with someone behind this matter or it will be taken into court!! I have a photos and videos of the event. No one was being disrespectful, we are friendly people and just wanted to have some fun and enjoy the view of the bar, just for us to be treated in such an awful way. I am completely traumatized and now fear the need to spend money knowing we will be treated in a bad way just because of our skin , we live in a new generation and it’s still a problem. They judged us before we could even enter the door. I love the city bar and has always been but soon as I invite my friends and family we was treated as if we was unworthy of being inside of the establishment. I am completely embarrassed…
Ordered a shot of Patron, got water. They said it was there training bottle.

Great atmosphere good people
I’m a little, but not terrible surprises by some the the past reviews for this place. My husband and I had a few date nights here since we’ve been living in Baton Rouge...about 2 years. I have lived in Memphis, Atlanta, and Miami Beach where the nightlife of plentiful and exciting. City Bar is actually pretty cool. I liked the 2 floors of different music. The bartenders were relatively friendly. The first floor seems more chill. Upstairs they have a nice light show. They play a variety of music. I felt safe with the bouncers around. I would definitely visit again.
