I had the “T bokki, which was delicious.” What they call rice cakes (in this dish) are actually more like a chewy pasta in my opinion. The sauce was delicious, and I loved the fried egg on top. My son loves the wings and the rice bowls. Service was good. No complaints.
Went for the first time and it was delicious, our server, Alli, was very friendly and informative about the different items on the menu and helped us pick some of our dishes .We had the Bombay chicken, Oskar's wild ramen and Pork Phat Bao and they were all delicious. We sat outside on the patio which was small but it felt very nice to be outside just be aware that since the restaurant is right next to the overpass (hence the name) the patio can get a little loud at times. The inside was small but very cozy. If I would have to make a recommendation I would probably ask that you have some kind of roof or plexiglass above the patio to be able to sit people outside during the rain while still letting in natural light. Overall a great experience though and will be back!Parking: Parking is pretty good. They have ample parking spaces around the restaurant with most of them being under the overpass which keeps the sun and rain off of them.
Always ate here when it was located at White Star so when I heard they were opening up their own location, I had to go support! I decided to sit outside on their front patio/area with my dog since they’re pet-friendly. They had umbrellas and an outside fan to keep us cool in the summer heat. Even though I sat outside, service was amazing, and the waitresses were very attentive! The smoked house fried rice is a must! Steamed pho dumplings are better than the fried pho dumplings. Wild chow wings are crispy and had the right amount of flavor. All the baos are yummy, but I really like the phat cow and hot honey chicken. The cafe sua da bread pudding is reallyyyy sweet. Didn’t really taste like Vietnamese coffee. Tasted more like caramel. Overall, this place is always on my list if I’m craving for some Asian infusion food. Can’t wait to return to try more dishes and their crawfish!
Pretty good food. Reasonably priced. The seating arrangements were kind of strange. I could eat off the plates of the two tables next to me they were so close.
Great food, horrible service. Sat at the bar, had to request water, menu, the ability to order. Once I placed my drink order (just a wine, doesn’t take long to do) the bartender served others their drinks who were seated after me. Finally just cancelled my order.
Talk about PRESSURE!!!! Woo! This place is nothing but delicious Asian culinary greatness! The layers of flavor in the dishes we had were incredible. Then the atmosphere is great too.I most certainly will go back next time I’m in Baton Rouge!
We ate three different flavors of the buns. All were delish but very spicy. I could only try two due to the spicy. If the menu doesn’t have heat ratings… ask… I don’t remember seeing any. The actual buns were delish and large.
Got an order of bao for an appetizer, where they subbed the chicken for tofu, and it was amazing. I also got a spicy chicken ramen dish that was fantastic. I did prefer the bao, which had a more similar flavour profile to my usual affair. The ramen had a few spices that were a little foreign tasting, delicious, but maybe not for a person who isn't adventurous. There are other items on the menu that should appeal to all palettes.
First timer that will return soon. I tried the soft shell crab bao and it was phenomenal!!! Also, the Vietnamese Coffee bread pudding is soooooo good!!! All my tastebuds are pleased!
I had Chow Yum Phat cater a small dinner party for me. Not only is their food fantastic, but they did an outstanding job of packaging everything so that I could take it home and easily reheat it. None of my guests have been here before and they were all blown away by how great the food was! We had both the Pho and Dan Dan Dumplings, the smoked fried rice, and the Addie Ramen. This is by far my new favorite place in Baton Rouge! I live in St. Francisville and discovered it at 3 o’clock on a Friday afternoon when I was starving and looking for some place to have a late lunch. Their margarita special of the day was so delicious I had two! Now it’s my last stop before getting on the interstate to head home with delicious to go food.
