Some places that look crusty have amazing food, But this doesn't apply for this place. The place is nasty looking, bathroom is nasty af.We had the chicken dinner plate with 2 sides.Chicken was soooo oily and barely had flavor. For some reason the chicken was super chewy idk how they made that possible.Oil tasted very old like they reused it 100 times.Fries were flavorless and tasted like frozen fries.Beans were OK they just tasted like they threw in a bunch of ham flavor in there.I understand this place is a staple to baton rougue but i bet its because they don’t got many choices not because of flavor. If you live here im sorry but this place is the worst i’d rather eat at taco bell than here and have diarrhea for 5 days straight cus at least the food was good.
The best fried chicken I've ever had! Clean facility, friendly staff, and delicious food!
Fun and friendly atmosphere, family like and welcoming. Your truly treated lime family: so whatever is expected to come with being family expect it because it's what you should....!
The food is so good here. We've been in baton rouge for 2 years and the food is kinda if hit or miss. But this place is delicious. The yams are so good and the chicken had been perfect each time.
I have not been here in years. I probably won't return. The pork chop sandwich was not good. What I mean by not good is the meat was dropped in grease after apparently already sitting under the light...tuff! I was too outdone and throwed it away. I figured I wouldn't waste my time calling to complain.
I love this place they have the best potato salad I have had in a long time. ? my aunt made potato salad like this and she passed away 6 yrs ago. The prices are very affordable.
As much as I hate to do this to a Black owned establishment, I’m going to have to leave one star. I have been frequenting this establishment on N. Acadian Thwy and off of Mohican for years. However, I recently went in and ordered two meals for myself and a coworker. I paid for both dinners but clearly informed them that the meals were for two individuals. Needless to say, they placed both meals on one paper boat (not a box). When I told them that I needed it prepared the correct way. The employee stated, “We don’t have that kind of time. You would’ve had to pay separate for each, one at a time.” When I told her that I couldn’t touch someone else’s food, she replied, “I’ll give you some plastic gloves and an extra bowl.” That was the beginning of the end for my patronizing of this restaurant after over 3 decades of support. Not sure if Mr. Joe Delpit still has a role in this place but if so he may consider changing his policies about multiple orders for individuals.
Good hot delicious fried chicken. FYI...There was a Church's chicken right next to it. The Church's chicken is now closed. That should tell you all you need to know.
The picture speaks for itself. Two piece mixed - breast and thigh. Crispy, moist, flavorful. Best chicken I've EVER had. Born and raised in Baton Rouge living in Houston the past 10 years. Anytime I'm in town, I'm in Chicken Shack!
This really is that young gripper!!! Eat their chicken sandwich, and you’ll never order a sorry Chick-fil-A combo again. I really wish I would have had the opportunity to take a photo of the actual food, but it was gone before I could think straight, crumbs and all.
