We had a wonderful dinner here. I ordered the Kung pao shrimp. My wife had the Mongolian beef. This is not your standard Chinese fare. The quality of the dishes is at least two levels above average! We got the spring rolls. They were OK. The rest of the meal was absolutely fantastic.Prjces were a bit higher than average, but you get quality food for the price.Back again for Father's day! They did not disappoint!
The best hot and sour soup in Baton Rouge. The Mongolian beef is excellent as is the double cooked pork. Scratch made taste. The fried rice was not impressive. No wok or sesame flavor. The spring roll was excellent also.
The best Chinese food in Baton Rouge hands down! The walnut shrimp is delicious and the owner is a true gem! Can’t wait to visit again!
Everything was delicious from the egg rolls to the entrees! The fried rice was exceptional. Beef with sautéed vegetables was great and also the Triple delight. The owner came out to welcome us and returned to make sure we were pleased. We will be back to try more dishes. Our wait staff was very attentive and nice.
This is a excellent restaurant. Clean, friendly, service was very good, food was delicious. General tossed chicken and shrimp vegetables. Enjoy!
Had a great lunch. Quick and good. Place was very clean and the staff friendly. Would recommend and will be back!
I've been reading about this place on a local food group so we decided to stop by when in Baton Rouge recently. It was definitely worth the trip and lived up to its online reputation. The Five Spice Chicken will definitely be my go-to as it's even better than my favorite dish from Chinatown in Los Angeles.
Cheng's is really good. I went there Tuesday night for the 1st time and was very impressed. It was well worth it. The egg roll was smaller than I like, but very good.I had the General Tso's chicken. I always pick something I know I'll eat for the 1st time. I can genuinely say that I will go back to try something different. It was piping hot at 8:30pm, had great flavor, and good coating/batter.The staff was also wonderful.
I am so happy we saw this place! The food was AMAZING!!! We will definitely be back here again. Had the pork dumplings first. They were great! Then I had the Kung Pao Shrimp. My husband had the Mongolian Beef. And, kids both had the sweet and sour chicken. They were all fantastic!! If you like Chinese, you will love this place!
Cheng's has the best Chinese food in Baton Rouge right now. We've been twice in a party of four so we've ordered and shared 8 different entrees. They were all fantastic. For only $4 more you can add soup and an egg roll which you should definitely do since it's the best egg drop soup I've ever had and the best sweet and sour soup I've had outside of China. I prefer the garlic chicken and double cooked pork, but they're all good.
