Omgoodness!! Don Bergeron’s City Market is so good!! They treat you individually! No numbers there. Very professional and ohh, the food is out of this world! It so good y’all! I’ll recommend City Market any and every day!
This place is a hidden gem. And a bargain. It’s usually around $13 or so for an entree and 2 sides. The entrees are always big enough for me to make 2 meals out of, too. Last time I got fast food my meal was $11.50. This is a no-brainer for me. Much rather have good quality homemade food than a greasy burger. I like their frozen pre-made meals too. Crab and eggplant casserole is probably my favorite. Great desserts.

I understand it’s lent, but not everyone is Catholic. I wish they would offer non-seafood options on Fridays too… at least one. Overall, the food is beyond delicious! I will be back again, but I am hopeful for chicken or beef on the menu, on Fridays :)
I can't believe it's taken me this long to review Don's. I've been going to Don's for about ten years since they were over by Capital Heights. It's amazing that in ten years I've only ever had great experiences...they're truly that consistent.Don is dedicated to quality and excellent service. It's great food for a great price. I was very happy to go yesterday and and still get a plate of chef quality food for $11 at a time when a McDonalds meal will run you $10 or the chow mein and chicken from "the cheap Chinese food" place just cost me $12. Don's deserves to be at the top of the rotation.
Excellent food and service, want to go back and get dessert. Pricey, but good once in a while.

3rd time I've went here for lunch and food not ready. I have a small time frame to grab lunch and this is absolutely unacceptable. I waited over 10min today and still no fried shrimp available. I work close so in 10min I could have ate and went back to work. Not sure if I'll ever go back and pay 15plus dollars for one lunch plate. Very disappointed
Went there on Friday and was very satisfied with my meal and service. However, on today I went again for my lunch break and was very disappointed and I dnt think I will be returning. Upon string I picked out a cheesecake for dessert and proceeded to order my food. They guy behind the counter notified me that it would be 5 mins before rice was available to order . I said ok and then took a set behind another customer who was waiting. A few minutes later the same guy notified the lady in front of me that the rice was done but never called me over so I didn't say a word because I didn't want to be the angry black lady. He fixed her plate and then the few ppl that were in line. I then get up and go over to the counter ready to order and was then told there isn't anymore Cornish hen available and that it would be a while. I left very upset because I felt that I should've been called when the rice was ready just as she was. After raving abt this place to friends and family on Friday I will be notifying my friends and family of my treatment today and not returning again because of unfair treatment.
Excellent food. Plenty of choice and all af them great. Great gumbo. Come and time for lunch or take some home
