Outstanding. A small diner that doesn’t look impressive from outside, but serves a lot of delicious food. After struggling to make my choice, I ended up ordering Turkey breast with greens and corn. It was delicious. The owner talked to us and gave several samples of Cajun food. Very tasty. I will definitely eat here again.
We stopped here before coming home to Texas. The food is some of the best food I’ve ever had! And the desserts are out of this world!! The staff was super nice and gave us a little something to try that actually made me change up my order! I’ll be dreaming about y’all til I can get back!
Don’t let the outside appearance dissuade you from trying this place. It is truly in the proverbial hidden gem category. There isn’t much seating, and it seems that they predominantly do take out, but the food is outstanding. The prices are unbelievably low considering both the quality and serving sizes provided. The staff is also great. Extremely friendly and they make you feel welcome.
Great down home Cajun food, bbq, sides, cakes, pies! If U like hog head cheese U will love their homemade chicken glace! The owner often hand out samples. Many of their cooked foods are available frozen to cook at home, reasonable priced!
The stuffed pork tenderloin IS BY FAR, THE BEST PORK IVE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH!!! And I'm almost 50. Awesomeness is all I can say about it. And the service is WONDERFUL as well!! Thank you VERY MUCH FOR YOU SERVICE BEFORE AND NOW!! SALUTE!!
Bellue's was a true diamond in the rough. We weren't sure about it from the outside but once inside you felt welcomed and at home. The kitchen staff was amazing and told us all about the food items. Mr. Bellue gave us samples of anything we asked about! It is a small, no frills place but the food tasted terrific! The place was totally full by the time we left! Mr. Bellue is a friendly guy and you can tell he cares about what he does and also cares about his community. We will be back for sure!
probably the best southern food I have had my whole life. Absolutely fresh, homemade food. Service was friendly and quick. taste was something my grandma would send me to my room for, because I would say it was better than grandma's cooking. definitely will be back.
My name is Amphone Hill. The restaurant was recommended by my husband. The owner greeted me with a smile. Great customer service! The food is fresh, quality was amazing. The prices are very affordable. It's one of the best cajun cuisine in Baton Rouge. I was amazed by the amount of food that I received. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wow, so happy I found this place! The reviews are true! The only thing better than the food here is how kind and friendly the staff/owners are! Can't want to go back and try more if I get the chance! As the first legit Cajun restaurant I've been to, the bar has been set high! Everything is made from scratch in house! They also take credit cards if you're wondering.
Stopped at Bellue's a few days ago to grab some lunch & the owner was really nice. We had a great conversation about the State Trooper in the huge photograph. He also shared some stories on his experience with the police force. The food was great as well.
