I stayed the night in Baton Rouge and wanted a nice breakfast the next morning before hitting the road again. I had the vegetarian omelet and grits. My waitress, Sharon, made a fresh pot of decaf for me. She was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. The food and coffee were excellent!
The eggs benedict was not good at all? They need a new cook. Service was fine but The food was disgusting need l say more Regret this poor review but appropriate ?
I want to preface this review by saying that we dine out in restaurants several times a week. We went for brunch today arriving before 11:00. We were told the wait for a table would be 45 minutes. We accepted that time and decided to wait outside as there is only one small inside bench and we were happy to allow an elderly couple to wait in the air conditioned area. The main waiting area is outside of the restaurant; so, the choices were to sit at an outside table or in our vehicle until the restaurant sent us a text to let us know our table was ready. Keep in mind that it is currently 83 degrees outside in Baton Rouge. An hour later, still no text. My husband goes inside to check our status. We're now second on the list for a table so I go inside to wait with him. Two minutes later, a couple of ladies arrive inquiring about their table. They had been skipped in the line! They seated them on the spot which was the correct thing to do. So, after waiting 1.5 hours, we're seated only to be told by our waitress that some of the cooking crew had walked off of the job and to please be patient with the slow service or we could choose to leave. Really!?! Yes, we could have chosen to leave, but we figured service, although slow, would be quicker than driving elsewhere. After finally being able to place our order and receive our food, the pancakes were cold and rubbery, the omelet was cold and easily seen as the cheese topping was solid and no longer melted, we had to ask for butter, and the ketchup was watered down and the bottle was basically empty. And, that was just my meal. The best part of my meal was the country potatoes. The best part of my husband's meal was the ham. Now to the ambience, if you can even call it that. We, a couple, were seated in a small room with others being ALL large groups. The noise level was horrendous! People were yelling just to hear one another. We just gave up trying to talk to one another and did everything we could to get the heck out of there. We never saw an adult manager in the restaurant while we were there. All of the staff were young, possibly college kids. They were truly trying to do their best, except those at the hostess desk who obviously did not give out accurate wait times, skipped patrons and seated guests out of order. All in all, we should have been told about the loss of staff before we were told the wait time and especially before being seated at a table. I believe the blame for this disaster lies with the management. It should not have taken us 1.5 hours to be seated to receive unacceptable meals. This establishment has a posted closing time of 2pm and it was almost 2:00 when we received our meals. It was nearly 2:30pm by the time we made it out the door. After dining here prior, today is the last time we will have walked through the door of this restaurant. We made a horrible mistake choosing to brunch here as part of our anniversary celebration. If you like Another Broken Egg, like we do, please try another location.
Went here for brunch and enjoyed my visit. Their brunch menu is fairly extensive, so there is something for everyone. I got the biscuits and gravy and they were very flavorful. Definitely will be back to try other brunch items.
We were visiting LA and stop at this place. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. Olivia our waitress was taking care of us. She was really nice.
We frequent broken egg often. Nola location mostly for YEARS. Citiplace location we've been here a couple times.... usually 4 or 5 stars. NOT TODAYEverything was dry or burned.Host was friendly and we were seated quickly as it wasn't busy at all...which is why I couldn't understand how the food wasn't fresh.I'm not sure what was worse. The grits that even 5 tabs of butter wouldn't help OR the burned toast. ??♀️funny thing was TWO out the 3 plates that contained toast received it burned. Everyone's grits was dry. It looked as if the grits had sat in the bowl for some time. The eggs were dry so I attempted to put butter on them but they weren't warm enough to melt the butter at all. Bacon was good and literally the only thing on our plate that wasnt screwed up.We never send food back unless we've decided to leave but unfortunately time didn't permit. If we had time and didn't have kids with us we DEFINITELY would've left.
Food was great and service was even better. There is a wide variety of breakfast plates to choose from. I will to come back to try more.
My experience was amazing. The fact that I was having brunch with my son added to the pleasantries of this experience. We both had dishes that were delicious, hot, and worth the money. The bartender was nice and knowledgeable. My mimosas were perfect and cute. I have eaten at Another Broken Egg on occasion and it has yet to disappoint. Oh! And the wait was only 15 minutes. However, there was no wait for the bar so we took our seats there. That was an added bonus because there is often a wait to eat at this restaurant. You should try this restaurant. It's worth your time and money.

We went to the other location first and they were packed and the wait was too long so we drove to this location, the wait wasn’t as bad. We got seated after waiting 5 minutes. I had the Bourbon Street Pancakes and they were to die for! We were in a rush to get to our next destination and the waitress was so understanding and provided great customer service!
