Absolutely fantastic. Friendly and welcoming staff that sold us on the pork tacos and sandwich. Both were amazing! So good in fact, we got a box of tacos to go! If you’re nearby please give these guys a try, you will not be disappointed! Oh and did I mention the bread pudding?? Blueberry and almond flavors; almost had me crying. ???
6-13-22 tried this place for the first time. Wanted to go previously, but he was closed because of his ??The food is AMAZINGLY flavorful! Even the spring salad mix. There is this tasty sweet sauce that's used...and it could make any leafy green the most delectable thing to have in your mouth. LolI ordered the cup of shrimp and corn bisque--yum!The red beans and rice with sausage is SUPER YUMMY! It was all so good...that I was eating like a hog at my table--had remnants of bean juice dripping down my chin. ?The interior is cool, too--awesome place. John and his help all seem to be friendly.GREAT FOOD!!!! I can't wait to try other foods here.Oh! Great almond bread pudding.
What a cute place we stumbled upon on our cross county road trip the other day! John is a sweet, helpful and personable owner and it was a joy to meet him and hear his story. We even got to take a picture with him. The food here is amazingly fresh and delicious! I was truly blessed by this stop and recommend it 100%!

The owner and staff are very cordial. I've been here 6 times and tried something different each time. Excellent food and atmosphere. Seared tuna balsamic salad, nuff said.
I honestly gave up on trying to eat here after attempting to place a large order, 12 people, multiple times. EVERYTIME I contacted the owner and EVERYTIME he rudely answered and responded “is this important? I’m busy.” Well yes sir, it was important. You could have had a lot of business if we would’ve got the chance to enjoy your food. Love helping small businesses but ONLY when they deserve it. The last time I called, probably about the 4th time, to inquire I hung up on him because I had enough. The reason we had 4 attempts is because each time he responded rudely I decided to wait on placing the order. But I wanted to try it so bad that I tried multiple times in hopes for a different attitude.
Excellent food and service! Great owner - great atmosphere - good prices - very personable staff. Unique menu - excellent homemade dressing , bread pudding is out of this world yummy - soups are full of flavor ! Will eat here anytime we are in Alexandria!

Don’t know what all the hype is when it’s just Walmart lunch meat on bread . It was Supposed to be a “hot pressed sandwich “ and it’s all cold. Also got the daily special and it was supposed to get cornbread with the red beans and rice as advertised and ended up with a cold sister shubert’s frozen dinner roll. Potato soup was cold as well. Could have saved the money and made this ridiculous sandwich at home and heat it up in the microwave.
Great experience, Fantastic well prepared food. Much better atmosphere for lunch than the usual fare....its like going home for lunch...but with much better service...reminiscent of those fantastic independently owned and operated eaterys found only around the French Quarter....lunch there and local coffee shop, after...makes for a great lunch date with your significant other.
