I have tried two plate lunches just to see if it was a difference in taste and so far nothing. Today I tried the meatball fricassee over rice with green beans and sweet potatoes. Last week I tried the beef stew over rice with green beans and sweet potatoes with a roll. If you have high blood pressure run it's over salted all the salt is in the rice. I'm just wondering does the cook taste the food or anyone else taste the food before preparation. I spend hard earn money for a plate lunch that's horrible so much salt I may spend additional money at the ER for blood pressure. Everything else is just fine sometimes the few cracklins I get are also over salted. You can't expect customers to return with food like this. Maybe it's just things that need rice added because the rice is where the salt is Maybe I should try a different plate lunch but I'm not sure after two bad plates not good being it's the main dish

I always come here when I am in the area. It had become my most favorite place to eat bc it was clean, the staff was always over the top friendly and the food was bomb. However, today this visit was not a favored visit. My son (4) got a chicken strip meal and although the chicken was served right out of the fryer, hot and fresh the fries were cold and it was extremely heavily coated in spices. That’s great for an adult, but he couldn’t eat them. Just kept saying these are way too spicy, mommy. I ordered my absolute favorite, the gumbo. ?? Def tasted off. Not much flavor at all…. The shrimp were not deveined and those fries were also cold. The condiments on table were extremely dirty. This was not just our table. I got to noticing, most of the tables looked the same. The tea container did it for me, for I went to get a refill bc my fiancé had fixed my drink originally. It was so nasty and sticky and the drink machine was horribly dirty. On a more positive note, The customer service was as usual, extremely fabulous. So a five star for customer service and a three on cleanliness and food. I really hated that. This is second time food has been off. I hope this is just a phase with employees being hard to find and all during these trying times. We may try it again but it’s way too much to pay for the food not to be right. ?

Absolutely a must stop on your way through Alexandria. The place was clean, restroom well stocked and the boudin balls are off the chain good. Hubby had catfish special and it was also great. Be sure to try their dry seasoning it tops off the flavor. Everything was top notch with service and staff. Love this place, wish they had a place in Texas.

Service was absolutely awful. Place was out of alot of what we tried to order. Food was decent. Decor is excellent.

Despite the food being only the tiniest amount of time beyond what I’d been quoted coming out of the kitchen, management kindly acknowledged it (even though they didn’t need to) by apologizing and blessing me with a delicious pepper jack boudin ball on the house. Strong customer service and an undeniably scrumptious menu place this eatery in the top of its class.

This is one of those tastiest gumbo's I've ever taste in my whole life is because these are better than miss b and they have a Cajun flavor with little spicy kick to it. But I like the chicken and sausage gumbo more than seafood but they're great!

I will definitely be back SEVERAL TIMES with my guy. 1/15/22 came here for the first time.1 thing that is very noticeable: it is a CLEAN establishment!!!!!The red beans and rice and the gumbo I ordered was VERRRRRRRY DELICIOUS.What's weird is the eatery in Pineville tastes different (in a not-so-good way) since I have been to this location and noticed a difference. Hmmm...not sure what's with that, but...the food here was SOOOOOO very good!Beautiful murals--even in the restrooms.Oooooh!!!!! The DEER TAMALES ARE TERRIFIC!!!!!!! We ordered a dozen deer and pork. Yummy! I am bringing mine back to Lafayette-Oplelousas to share.

Boudin is always great but crackling yesterday was better than ever i hope they stay that way

One place needs to be Luke the other. Why does the Pineville store not have the seasonings like the one in Alex. I went to front counter and asked were the seasonings were she asked which one. I told her I like the Cajun she came back with a little container with some in it.o asked what's this and where is the containers you purchase. I was told they do not sell those. Wow...

Look forward to stopping by here along the way during our travels. Great customer service fantastic eats!
