The ribs was tender, the bake potato with brisket was very good. I recommend Koal's to anyone looking for some good BBQ.. also the owner was very friendly, we watched him go table to table and greet and talk with every guest. Even as everyone left he told them have a great weekend and come back to see them. I live in Texas but I'm from Alexandria, La. and I'll definitely be back!!

It was absolutely wonderful!!! This was my first time eating here and it was the best food I've had in a very long time. The brisket tacos were the best tacos I've ever had in my life, the brisket on the fries just melts in your mouth, and the crawfish tails were seasoned to perfection!!!
You can smell the smoke when you get out of your car! Very clean, warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Quick service. We got the brisket queso, the gumbo, a sausage plate and a brisket plate. Everything was delicious. But the gumbo was something special! Highly recommend ?
My wife and I visited this afternoon for an early dinner and both had the brisket plates. We were both disappointed in what we received - the meat was about 50% fat, and we had to search for what little lean meat there was. When the restaurant fist opened, the brisket was very good, but both of the last two times we have visited, the meat was disappointing, especially for the price.
Best BBQ I have ever had! My daughter is a student at NSU and we eat here every time we pass through for a visit. Def well worth the drive from New Iberia! Pulled pork and brisket are the best along with the loaded potato casserole!

First time coming to this restaurant and I was so impressed!! I ordered the brisket potato casserole and it was delicious and for dessert bread pudding. Their bread pudding was one of the best bread puddings I’ve had!!! The employees were very nice as well!!! I strongly recommend trying this restaurant!!! I can’t wait to go back and try something new!!!
We ended up sharing the "The Pit Room", it has just about everything BBQ on their menu. The prime brisket was excellent as well as the pulled pork, turkey, two kinds of sausage and chicken quarter. We found the ribs a little dry but enjoyed them as well. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful. Looking forward to the 1.5hr trip to eat there again.
