The Levee has permanently closed at the Holiday Inn Alexandria Downtown. A new restaurant will be opening in mid February serving both lunch and supper. In the meantime breakfast is being served every morning from 6AM to 10AM in the restaurant.
I like this place and the service I get. I usually have their wings and sweet potato fries. Very good. I have had a couple of their desserts, which are good as well.
The customer service here is trash. We were waiting out here for literally 15 minutes wondering if they were even open at 3 in the afternoon (regular business hours) and they finally came out (2 ladies, one middle aged white woman and middle aged black woman) and they just came out chatting away, elbow propped up talking to each other not even acknowledging me. Whyyy has customer service gone down the drain to this extent?! They should go work at huddle house or McDonald’s if they want to act like that.
Ms. Vera's grits and breakfast buffet are the best in Louisiana, I travel across Louisiana and Mississippi for work and this by far the most creamy and well seasoned grits and breakfast I've had!
Stopped while charging the Tesla next door. Totally exceeded expectations. Try the Boudin Wontons and Natchitoches!
i wish i could leave 0 stars. to put it simply their customer service is horrible. i do not recommend. not at all, not in the least.they’re terrible and they leave paper on your burgers.
Oh LORD, my family and I visited this establishment on the 24th-26th of September 2021. We ate dinner there the first and second night and breakfast the 25th & 26th, let me tell you Mrs. VERA did her thing with breakfast, my husband is one of those who puts sugar on his grits, but not this Southern Lady, Mrs. Vera had my husband going back for 2nds & 3rds, my grand daughter LOVED them as well. We would definitely make a trip down to Alexandria just to have Mrs. Vera's good. AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT, ? HANDS DOWN THE BEST BREAKFAST I'VE HAD IN LOUISIANA
WOW. Incredible. Today I am limo driving for some clients and dropped them off at The Diamond Restaurant and decided to walk to this place “The Levee Bar”. Upon approaching I noticed it was inside the hotel so I thought I was “settling” for this place. I wanted to try the Pork Shanks but due to covid shortage they were out and again I thought I was “settling” for the Old Timer Burger with sweet potato fries and ordered the Boudin Wontons as a side. Boy was I wrong. I hit the jackpot. Perfect trio together. The wontons are crispy and topped with powdered sugar and syrup, they are the best I’ve ever had. The burger was even more mouth watering, perfect juicy burger, the bun is soft and fresh, vegetables fresh, and the caramelized onions and mushrooms are perfect. All 3 together just made me so happy. Had to leave a review. If your on the fence or think you may be settling because it’s inside the hotel, take a leap. It’s well worth it!
We enjoyed it our 16 yr old waiter was sooo nice and fun.
The food was awesome. We had breakfast and lunch at the Levee. Their Ribeye steak was out of this world. Very juicy & tender.The breakfast bar had all very fresh food and tasty. I would eat here more often if I wasn't from out of town.
