Food was good, typical for GC. Accessibility was good, walking distance from several hotels and bowling alley across the street. Cleanliness was normal for GC. Had a good waiter/bus boy, he kept drinks filled and was friendly. He constantly clean areas in his section and waited on customers. Would have gave 3 stars but waiter made the place 4 star worthy with his effort to support us. Big points to the waiter, we tipped him well.
One of the best parts of pre-pandemic Golden Corral (at least for my family) was the rolls with honey butter. The rolls are close to the same, but they now have some nasty honey butter. It has Golden Corral logo on it, and it looks like thin candle wax. Tastes like nasty candy.I believe I heard that when many of the GCs closed due to pandemic and their buffet style operation, some owners chose to sell rather than reopen. It is apparent that this location is likely one of those, as not only the rolls are different, but the quality of the food has gone downhill as well. Kind of like how Applebee's used to have halfway decent steaks in early 2000s and now everything about them is lower quality these days. Can't put my finger on what exactly is different, but this is not the GC I remember pre 2020. And yes, I have been to this exact location prior to that date, for reference.
friendly workers and good food
The first time I have been back since the buffet had fully opened and one could serve themselves. It was great!! Money well spent!!!
Servers are friendly, restaurant is clean and modern and the food is always great. The new Mandarin Orange fried shrimp is very tasty and kept me from eating steak :)
Love the food variety here. Some days they even have breakfast available for dinner which is awesome! The service is always great and the price is reasonable for today's economy.
The restaurant was very clean, there are safety procedures being used, my server Brittanie B was the best, she was very attentive to our needs and she has the best customer service skills around
great place to go with family and friends
These places are getting harder to find. Many of them are going out of business. I guess the buffet is more of the 80s and 90s. Now people are obsessed with healthy eating habits. I for one still enjoy the buffet bar. I also know I'm not winning any marathon games either! This location is clean and friendly. Good location just off I75. It can be crowded at times. The steak seems to be better here. Plan on spending $25-$30 for 2 people.
Our first time eating at Golden Corral. We were not disappointed. All sanitizing measures in place. A delicious variety of many types of food. We are planning to return to this restaurant.
