This was the first Taco Johns that we have seen in several years, so excited to give it a try, as we used to do Taco Tuesday at this brand. We were quickly disappointed. The cashier couldn't seem to hear or understand our order...there were no special requests. The food came quickly, but nothing was like it used to be. We missed the salsa bar. There were only Pepsi products. The portion sizes were greatly reduced as far as meat in the crunchy and street tacos.Crunchy beef tacos were almost flat, about 1/2 teaspoon of meat, and shredded lettuce. No cheese or tomato as pictured on menu board. The Street Tacos were a drippy soggy mess, consisting almost entirely of shredded lettuce and very liquid salsa. I had two chicken and one steak street taco. They all had about 1/2 the meat of the crunchy taco. This was the biggest waste of $20. Apparently the locals know this as we were the only people in the restaurant for about 45 minutes.
I have been a customer here for years and can say something has changed in the tacos especially the hard shell variety. It might be me but the taco season isn't the same. The staff is usually very helpful but as of late there seems to be a change. Maybe its the shortage of employees which I can understand. The Ole's are still my favorite!
Came in for dine in and we were the only ones inside. I got a sweet tea and we were dining in. The tea was TERRIBLE! I told them it was sour and needed to be changed. Asked if the tea in the back was made sooner and she said no. Again we were eating inside, they didn’t change out either of the teas and the worker was so rude like I’m an inconvenience. Shouldn’t you want the best quality for you customers? Jackson tried to make it right and gave a gift card. He was very nice. I will NOT be back here. I’ll stick with the amazing south side store
Taco salad with ground beef was delicious. The best ove had there. Employee taking our order at drive thru was professional and friendly.
Taco John's sideways to have upped their game! The tacos are very flavorful, the potatoes aren't overly seasoned anymore and the overall experience was very pleasant.
It was very nice and clean inside. The food was nice and warm. Service was excellent.
Slow, tacos lacked lettuce and had very little cheese. No sauces were given. It was a bad time
Over priced and not that great. If you want average Mexican food go to taco bell. Potato oles are the only good thing about this place.
I went to the one by the mall. My bean burrito was cold - not even a little bit warm and barley had cheese. The 4 tacos were cold and basically meatless. The potatoes were old, cold and had way too much seasoning. The taco burger was mostly lettuce and bun - also cold with just a sprinkle of cheese. The only hot item was the mexi rolls and cheese sauce. I do not believe that I will ever return to this store ?
Had an issue with one of the young employees looking at my biracial child in a hateful way..it was on hwy 60 but other than that love that place food is always hot and scrumptious!
