It was 30 minutes to close, my children was wanting a milkshake, so I called and asked if I ordered and paid over phone, and that I could and would make it there within the time of closing. The young man says yes as long as you order before we close. Then proceeds to hang up on me. I called back SIX times and they just let the phone ring. I am a general manger, if that were my employee treating a paying customer that way…well, you already know what happen. I even called to see if it was too late, because again, I understand. But hanging up without a word, and then as I feel completely ignoring my calls back. HIGHLY DISATISFIED. 0/10 would not recommend to a friend. Thanks, but no thanks. If I could’ve given zero stars I would have. Sadly would have much better luck at McDonald’s.

It has changed for the way you order inside and get your food.. More or less customer service is a thing of the past. The way its set up now you possibly will have no interaction with an employee. No waiters like the past.. You walk in, use a kiosk and place your order. You get a number and when called you go to the area for pick up and get your food and your own drink. You can still dine in and sit at a table but its all self service. They no longer take your order at the counter or table.. Saw 3 people working, one cooking burgers, one bagging food, one working drive thru. Steak burger was good, fries good. The taste of was good. Service, well the speed of getting your order was fast enough. Only 3 other customers in restaurant. They forgot 1 out of my 2 orders but corrected it. Over all experience was so so, the customer service welcome feeling is a thing of the past.

The poor staff. The manager was training a whole crew was in in training. When we showed up they were dealing with rude customers and computer issues including the drive thru being out. They did their best but it did take over 30 minutes to get our food and the cups were not stocked. I hate giving them a poor score considering I know how bad those working in the fast food industry get treated but it was a bad experience.

I noticed couple times that I have been at paducah steak n shake it has been trying its hardest to turn around. Under new management and new staff members and getting fixed back up. Food was really good today and it has new spots for people to oder their own food. I do like that ,it's convenient but could be confusing if some people not sure on how to use it but the friendly staff is there to help u order if u don't know how to use it. Lobby was clean and I am looking forward to a new and improved steak n shake for everyone to enjoy like we have when we were younger, hopefully it can be the new hang out again after a movie or shopping... good luck and keep up good work you all...

They didn't call us when our food was ready so it just sat there and got cold. My Son noticed it had been a while and checked on our food , they had it sitting there for no telling how long while other people were being called on for their hot meals ?

There needs to be a 1/2 star option because this would have been a 3 1/2 star visit.First trip in years (obviously since the beginning of COVID.Was not expecting KIOSK ordering. Not the greatest experience unless you have no desire to really view all the options and read the descriptions. Fortunately there were not many customers (only 1 other couple that was already seated & eating). My spouse likes to read every item on a menu before making a food choice, so the kiosk really stressed him out.Food was served quickly. Fresh & hot. Husband got a single cheeseburger, his poor tomato was thicker than the beef. We joked about 'where's the beef?I got a double which was much better (so I shared).Onion rings were mostly breading and really greasy but the fries were spot on.We may give it another go, but would need to review menu o line to better prepare.

I personally didn't enjoy it much, but I know others that swear by steak 'n shake. I know they're real burgers and they have okay seasoning for them. The patties were paper thin and dry for me. For side I got the onion rings and they were good I just wish they had onion ring sauce. The person I ate with got the fries loaded down with the old bay seasoning they got and those were really good, so they got it good on the sides. The shakes and sides are the only reason I liked it here.

Avoid this place unless you want to use Kiosk, wait your own table and wait twenty minutes for the ONE employee. Pretty much treated like we Didn't come to a fast food restaurant because we were in a hurry. I watched customer after customer leave because they didn't want to basically serve their self.

Food was good. No connection with any employees was very odd. You order from a kiosk and pick up up your order when your number is called. Then you clean off your table, stack dishes and throw away your trash. I miss the waitresses. The service industry is turning into non-service.

The food is great but I don't like how all orders have to be processed through a kiosk with no real one on one communication with the server or employees. They have cut so many positions by implementing technology into part of the steak and shake experience and I am not a fan of it.
