I'm personal from Paducah and I love this food! This family owned restaurant has such great food and many different type of food! Sandwiches, sandwich meat, and so much more but my favorite is they're Special sauce! They also have t-shirt and other things but if you ever visit Paducah or even are from here I recommend this place this much!
We stopped in at Starnes for lunch during our trip to Paducah. It was a small hometown restaurant with very friendly people working there and extremely affordable food . I’ve never seen prices that low in any BBQ restaurant in the Southeast (likely anywhere honestly). We ended up trying their Smoked Bologna, Smoked Beef, and Smoked Pork sandwiches and they were all incredible. The cole slaw and potato salad were both great as well. The sandwiches were so good in my opinion that sauce wasn’t needed. I was amazed that 4 sandwiches and two large sides were just over $15. My grandparents started going to Starnes when it first opened. Granny's family lived in Paducah, so when the came from Iowa for a visit it was a MUST have. They always brought several pounds of meat back to Iowa so we could all enjoy the good ol Kentucky BBQ. I was so excited to visit this place as an adult. Still as good as I remember!
Loved the small town atmosphere. Great prices and friendly service. Would go back if the opportunity arises.

This is the best Barbecue in town . The best Barbecue in the State of Kentucky . You will not be disappointed know one knows Barbecue better than Starnes . It's damn Good the Best. ✌️
Starnes is a Paducah tradition. Every time we visit we have to bring back several pounds of pulled pork and ham for starving Floridians. Their potato salad is the best I have ever had. You will either like or hate their sauce. It is similar to Tabasco rather than traditional thick sauce.

My husband's family has eaten here for years and we like to stop in whenever we are traveling. Lately, we have ordered Starnes homemade BBQ sauce and they ship it. Tim is a great guy and has kept this business going.
