O'Charley's is a pretty good place to grab a bite. The food is pretty typical for what you'd find at other restaurants in this market segment but executed well and quickly.Marty, our server, was exceptionally good; she was quick with a refill, to go above and beyond with requests and offer good suggestions which only made the meal that much better.Overall, a very pleasant experience without long waits, exorbitant prices or poor service which seems to be more the norm these days.
My salad was upgraded with a bug, free of charge. The server was nice and the manger replaced the salad…but it’s still not something you want to see on your plate.
Went to O'Charley's a few days ago, craving the potato soup. Placed my order and what did I get, a bowl of I think melted government cheese from the 40s (what I think it would taste like). It was so salty I eat about 4 spoons and had to call it quits. The waitress was very nice and asked if there's something wrong with the potato soup, I said this is not the potato soup I had here last time. She said they are making it their self in the back now. So this will be my last time going to O'Charley's.
Went to lunch there today at 11am. Only about 4 others dinning at the time. We ordered drinks and an appetizer as soon as we got there. Got our drinks and ordered our food. I ordered the surf n turf with a side of rice melody and fries. 15 minutes later server comes back to inform me they have NO CATFISH OR SHRIMP for the surf n turf. So i ordered a cajun shrimp and that was fine. I said are you sure you have shrimp for that and she said yes. Food came out the shrimp was great. The rice (said it had corn and black beans in it) was plain brown rice loaded with salt. I also asked the waitress to please take off the appetizer since we never got it and she said "okay i sure will". Sure didnt seemed phased by it. Anyways we ate our okay lunch got our bill and shenever came back to cash us out so we went and found the hostess to pay. This seems like a hit n miss kind of place.
My mother and myself had a very odd experince the Monday after Easter. We came for a late lunch after her dr appt, we arrived around 3:15. When we walked in it appeared to be the manager that greeted us. He was acting very strange and uncomfortable with our presence it appeared. A guy from behind the bar came to him and said, that's okay, l will take care of them. He was acting odd himself, fake again, kept shiffting his eyes. After he took our order, he went behind the bar and kept looking over at us. I have been to OCharley's in several states, not sure what's going on with this early 1900's attitude in Paducah. This is 2022, but l know some of you demons will be the same until Jesus return.
Went here last night and won't be back. For starters, they weren't busy. They were only seating the front half of the restaurant. We had 6 adults in our group and needed a booth since we had 1 baby with us. We were told it would be about a 20 min wait, which was no problem. After about 10-15 min, the Hostess tell us they're just waiting on someone to buss our table so we get ready. Another 10 min goes by and they tell us there's not a table available so I don't know where that confusion came from. We ended up sitting on the other side of the restaurant (where the bar was) with a high-top table next to a booth. That was fine, we made it work. We were the only table on that side. There were about 5 men at the bar casually drinking. One man was working on a laptop. My point being that it wasn't some wild group at the bar. Just men sitting there watching the TV. The front side still had several open tables, just nothing left to seat 6 adults. Anyways, our waiter took our drink orders, and my mother had asked "Did you take the appetizer orders?" Because she thought he forgot to get hers and he gave attitude and said "Noooo, I'm getting your drinks first because most people get thirsty with the bread." Which he should have just taken the appetizer orders rather than have an attitude and not take them. We wait for our drinks, and then order appetizers once he comes back with our drinks. My husband got one of their house margaritas, came in a small glass, he drank it pretty fast. My sweet tea tasted old and wasn't sweet, so when he came back again, I just asked to switch it out. I didn't even get to explain why I wanted a new one before he says "Yeah well they make us put the right amount of sugar in it now so." Anyways, I ordered a soda. My husband was ready for another drink but the waiter didn't ask or offer to refill drinks. He dropped off my soda and left so fast we didn't get to order another margarita. When he came with the appetizers, we had to ask for the margarita as he was walking away. One of the appetizers was chips and spinach dip. The chips weren't even warm. The spinach dip was barely warm. There were still chunks of cheese in it. Not melted at all. We ordered our food, and waited about 20 min or so for it. During this time, we did not receive the margarita. We saw our waiter standing talking with the men at the bar, and other Co-workers. I'm not saying you can't take a breather and talk, but 20 min for a small glass margarita was ridiculous. Not to mention how cold our serve was being to us, but to see him being extremely friendly to few men at the bar. Shows he was choosing to act the way he was towards us. Anyways, our food comes and we still haven't received our margarita. That came shortly after. My Mom had ordered a dessert as her entree', and they didn't bring it out. We figured that was coming next. Well our waiter came back after about 10-15 min and we had asked if he could get her dessert since she was the only one not eating and he literally says "Its in the back I haven't grabbed it yet?" Says it in question form, extremely rude, like we were stupid. Like we were an inconvenience to him. That's when I was finally done with his attitude and told him we wanted it. That was the one time I was stern with him. Other than that, we said "thank you" and were polite the whole time. My husband ordered a medium-rare steak. It was definitely cooked well done. Very done. My sister got a noodle mix of some sort and there was legit savings of the onion skin in it. The part you're supposed to peal off. When my mother got her dessert, it was supposed to have ice cream with it, but didn't come with it. None of it was worth asking about because we were all already done with our waiter. An absolute waste of time and money. I can't imagine how things go when they're actually busy on a Saturday night. It's really hard to pay a business your money after bad
It was a trip to get a wedding dress at davids bridal. Enjoyed our self 2 mama's and 2 daughters....good food and good service!
Went a couple nights ago to pick up some chicken (to-go) and rolls. This is the second time the quality of the chicken was so gross I couldn’t even eat them all. Gave me a horrible stomachache and the rolls were literally ROCK HARD. Like I tried tearing them in half and they fell into crumb pieces in my hand they were that hard. The ranch that was given to me, was hot so it hurt my stomach and had to use a different condiment at home. Probably won’t be going back here, really disappointed.
Passing through town and O'Charleys was next door. It was after 8 PM and we wanted to eat. Originally I was going to get their signature cheeseburger but there were no spicy cheese triangles (shipping issues) so I ordered Nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries. It was very good and I would consider it medium hot. My wife got Fish and Chips and the fish was flakey and tasty and not overly breaded and some of the best she has had in the states. Mother in law had the chicken strip meal. We were very surprised how tasty and moist the chicken was. She also had the potato soup and couldn't stop telling us how great it was and we agreed. Potato soup is her favorite soup and she often makes it from scratch so that is saying something.
